1 lot away from the confluence of Butter Creek and the Cowlitz River. RV site (tents ok ONLY with an RV) is a treed lot with hookups - water, power (50, 30, 20 amp service, 120v outlet)Wi-Fi. Your RV MUST have an INDOOR toilet/shower. There is NO bathroom on the property. The property is located in a High Valley Country Club neighborhood. Swimming and golf are just over a mile away. It's a short drive to town and about a 1/2 hour to White Pass Ski area. Shared areas are swimming (Memorial to Labor Day) and golf available at the High Valley Country Club (HVCC). There is chopped wood for campfires and also a park style charcoal BBQ grill (guests will need to supply their own charcoal) Always use the fire pit (washer drum) for a fire and be mindful of the location (no combustible material within 10 ft) and size (max 3 ft in diameter and 2 ft feet high). There is generally a burn ban (NO campfires) by August. Please be aware of the status for open fires. If the weather is very dry, please have the garden hose hooked up and ready when the fire pit is in use. All dogs friendly with all other people and any other animals are welcome. Please be courteous to future guests and ALWAYS pick up after your dog(s). There is NO dump facility on site (NO dumping of black/grey water). The Packwood RV Park in downtown Packwood is available Mon-Thur for a fee. Cascade Parks RV Park is 10.5 west of Packwood and is available for a fee. Guests can access all areas of the property but the shed. Also, please be mindful of the property lines with neighbors on each side. There are posted signs on the river side and T-posts for a fence on the other. Cris and I have been coming to Packwood to vacation for several years and love all that the town has to offer every season of the year. We are always available by phone and have a local contact should that be needed. The property makes a great base camp for exploring the area. WiFi is on the property (up to 100Mbps), so staying connected is easy. There is a fire pit drum and free firewood. The property is close to Packwood (3.5 mi) where you will find groceries, restaurants, pizza, The Goat (Mountain Goat Coffee Company) and a micro brewery. Packwood (Skate Creek) State Park in only 2 miles and a few minutes from the property. There are hiking trails and public access to the Cowlitz River. Goat Rocks Wilderness and Mt. Rainier trails are a short drive away. Lakes Scanewa, Riffe and Rimrock are all an easy drive from Packwood. Enjoy boating, swimming, picnicking and fishing. During the winter months, White Pass ski area, Crystal Mountain Ski Resort and snowmobile parks Sno-Park Skate Creek and Sno-Park Orr Creek are in the area. For something different, visit the Oak Creek Wildlife Area late November through March to watch hundreds of elk feeding. Easy bike ride to town (3.5 mi) or High Valley CC (1.5), 30 minute drive (22 mi) to White Pass Ski area, 19 mi to Randle, 37 mi to Morton, a 25 minute drive to the Grove of the Patriarchs Trail (easy hike among ancient trees) and Mt Rainier, all of which is in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The High Valley Clubhouse has maps, information on fishing regulations and information on things to do You must register at LEAST 3 days as guests before using the HVCC facilities. Forms are sent after your booking. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. A detailed guidebook of local attractions incl. phone numbers, addresses, websites (when applicable) is provided in PDF format after booking. THERE ARE NO BATHROOM FACILITIES ON THE PROPERTY! Your RV must contain a toilet/shower inside (no outdoor showering or setting up an outdoor shower). No signal with your cell phone provider? WiFi calling (or GooglVoice) is an option. An RV water pressure regulator is absolutely necessary, as the water pressure is very strong.
