Beautiful country barn/peaceful location

Our double height wood and stone barn directly opposite our house is found at the end of a long private drive in lovely Dorset countryside. A very comfortable 5ft bed, woodburning stove and pretty views, a perfect relaxing and cosy retreat. Easy access to lots of interesting places. Guests can play tennis and croquet. The Barn sleeps two adults. Ample parking directly next to Barn. Please note the Barn unsuitable for children and infants. NB There are no shops or pubs within walking distance. The space The Barn is set at the end of a long drive, well away from any road, in a private 33 acre estate, no noise, no light pollution, just peace and quiet. Although directly opposite the main house, it is quite private. High ceilings, french windows with country views, kingsize double bed (on mezzanine accessed by quite steep stairs), wood burning stove, oak dining table with candles, WIFI (not super fast or that strong), TV DVD player - everything you need for a comfortable weekend or longer stay. It is not a hi-tech/spec barn, we do not believe in replacing slightly worn items and are fully committed to recycling etc, but it is comfy and in a beautiful setting. Parking directly next to the Barn. Well situated for visits to Bath, Salisbury, the Jurassic Coast, Gold Hill, the new Hauser & Wirth gallery/restaurant in Bruton, Longleat, and much more. Fantastic walking and cycling country. Adjacent to Copse View alpaca walking as seen on Countryfile! One king bed on the mezzanine level in the Barn. Bathroom is on ground floor so different level to bedroom. Shower with constant hot water. Wooden floor boards, throughout, slippers essential! Private BBQ area Tennis Court Croquet Lawn Clay pigeon shooting (extra cost) Beautiful unspoilt countryside - watch the deer and buzzards from the windows - and lots of good pubs nearby. Excellent access to lots of lovely places - Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Stourhead, Jurassic Coast. Bed made up with 100% Egyptian cotton linen, towels provided. Gas rings, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine. NB The steps to mezzanine are quite steep. No bath, only a shower. NB There is wifi but being in the country it is not strong enough to download movies etc Guest access There is a dedicated outside area with table, chairs, bbq behind the barn just for guests, but you are more than welcome to explore the whole of our 33 acres. Fresh eggs from our free range chickens. Tennis court. Croquet lawn. Other things to note Bed made up with 100% Egyptian cotton linen, towels provided. Gas rings, electric oven, microwave, washing machine. We would recommend you bring slippers both for comfort and warmth …the floor throughout is wood. Please note - there is wifi but being in the country it is not strong enough to down load movies etc. We provide one basket of wood to get you started. More wood can be purchased at our local village shop or petrol station (or feel free to bring your own). Bathroom and bedroom on different levels.
