Benton View Shepherds Huts
Benton View Shepherds Huts
Secluded, peaceful large Shepherd hut on 14 acre smallholding.
Description
A Single shepherd's hut on a small 14 acre working farm.• A short drive to Exmoor Zoo, Wistlandpound Reservoir and the coast. Right on the edge of Exmoor, peace, quiet, fab views up to the moor and down towards the sea. Benton View site is set just outside the Exmoor National Park , with one cosy shepherd's hut in its own area among a grassy orchard field. Sheep and chickens wander the site – the tiddlies are welcome to say hi or go and meet some of the menagerie. All welcome, wait to meet you. The space The location is peaceful, remote and we have spectacular scenery. The handcrafted shepherd's hut sits in its own garden area, separated from the rest of the orchard field (and the wanderings of any friendly farm animals) by a little picket fence, with a smashing barbecue area and a picnic bench for alfresco feasts. The hut is also fully insulated and has a kitchenette with a gas burner and a sink, a table and chairs for two to dine comfortably on, as well as a cosy double bed with fresh linens provided; the hut's little log burner generates enough heat to keep the hut nice and toasty throughout the winter months and can be used on cooler summer nights too, if needed, so you're guaranteed a swell stay no matter the season (logs supplied). The huts lighting is solar panelled. Also within the hut there is bullet charging points for your phone. Guest access While living lo-fi is all well and good, it has to be said that a few home comforts while you're on your hols don't go amiss either, which is why M&A have kindly kitted out the hut's separate kitchen with mod cons such as a fridge, a freezer and a microwave, electric points, plus a proper flushing toilet and hot shower in the separate sanitary block. Water for the hut is also provided in this area. Also a washing line to hang up clothes after a day at the beach. You are more than welcome to have access to the 14 acres which we have some breath-taking views from the top, the sea Hartland and Lundy island on a clear day. The farm animals will happily come over to see you for lots of loving if you have time, and we are more than happy to get you involved if we are around in farm life. Other things to note NO towels provided If you are bringing more than two guests you are welcome to bring a tent and pitch up in the huts garden but we do charge and camping is in addition to the shepherd huts tariff and is payable in cash on arrival at the rate of £10 per child per night and £15 per adult per night. We do not allow campers who aren't connected with the hut so the site remains exclusive.
