Camuslongart Cottage (road-end by the shore)

The cottage is a warm & comfortable haven at the end of the road, right on the shore. Stay in the best of the West Highlands, near the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, Dornie, Kintail, Plockton, Glenelg, Applecross & Isle of Skye. The landscape is wild and spectacular. This area is one of the most beautiful places in the world! Fantastic walks, wildlife, castles & brochs, seafood, bakery and a chocolatier! Otters & Herons can be spotted on the shore, and clear starry nights are memorable… The space Camuslongart Cottage, a lovely detached stone property on the shores of Loch Long. From the large sun lounge there are stunning views over the loch to the mountains of Kintail. You can sit and watch the weather rolling in and glimpse Eilean Donan Castle. In winter you may (or may not) spot an otter at low tide. The inner lounge is a cosy den with a wood burner and stone walls. Downstairs is a bedroom with sleigh bed and a bathroom with bath. PLEASE NOTE: handheld shower attachment only - this is an old property not suitable for an upright shower. Upstairs has double bedroom ,big brass bed, views out to loch and single bedded room across landing ,cot is available on request . All bedlinen is 100% cotton The smart TV is wifi only ,free channels are BBC iPlayer,itv,channel 4,Netflix is available and numerous other subscription channels,Prime ,Apple Now This cottage may also be available with Heron Cottage. Warning to parents or guardians of children,there is direct access from garden to the loch. Guest access the whole 100meter shoreline of 23 Camuslongart Other things to note There are wonderfully scenic walks directly from the property. Canoes and small craft can be launched from the cottage grounds there is no jetty, (so need to climb down from front grass)it is a sea loch so there is seaweed. The area has a number of excellent restaurants serving good local produce and a fantastic local bakery 10min walk. Most repeated comment in reviews " We should have stayed longer "so think about slowing down ! Note: this is Scotland ! bring a jersey/sweater,and waterproofs The water coming from cold water tap is completely safe to drink and very delicious.Definately no need to buy plastic bottled water. The towels are often dried naturally when weather permits ,so can feel initially crunchy...I do not use fabric softener.... Please read recycling information in cottage and dispose to bins correctly.
