A little house on top of a cliff in Hydra, which looks over Hydra Port. The house is a 15-minute walk from the port, with steps to climb, but the view is worth it. The house sits on the edge of a cliff enjoying unobstructed views of the quaint village, horseshoe shaped port, Saronic Gulf, and the mountains of the Peloponnese. There are 2 bedrooms; one with a king size bed that can split into 2 twins, one with a full size pull out sofa. There is also a sleeping loft off of the kitchen. The large living room contains a desk with a comfortable work space on one end and a social sitting area on the other with a full-size pullout sofa and a pullout chair that turns into a single bed. A hammock can be stretched across the porch, which offers an unforgettable view. The local mode of transportation is donkey as cars are not allowed on the island. Most folks walk. The distance to the house, including one path of steps, can be completed in about fifteen minutes. Guests have access to the entire house, the roof and the garden terrace. The house property manager, Sue Parker can help you get to the house and can arrange food and bottled water to be delivered to the house. Please let Sue know, as soon as you book the Hellenic Seas or Alphalines Ferry, what time you will be arriving. She will meet you and help you arrange for a mule to get your luggage to the house. Walkable neighborhood with friendly people. Walking, hiring a donkey, or boat if you want a faster way to the beach. You can shop for groceries when you arrive and put them on the mule carrying your luggage up. Sue will give you the keys to the house.
