Enjoy a glass of wine by the large fireplace or indulge in a bubble bath before heading out to experience SA's most famous cuisine. Surrounded by the best restaurants and wineries in the country, you can take relaxed walks to explore our little town - or let us arrange our driver to take you around! Our apartment will be the perfect start for an unforgettable time! The space THE SPACE: - Fiber Speed Wifi (stays on during load shedding!) - Fire place - Aircon - Central location Our apartment is situated in the centre of Franschhoek, in the very well known art courtyard "The Yard". The apartment will amaze you with its high ceilings and the Mediterranean, light feel. The openness and the warm light is magical and will put you into a mood of relaxation straight away. LOUNGE & KITCHEN - Nespresso machine - Dishwasher - Washing Machine - Airconditioner - Smart TV - Fireplace The large lounge opens into a dining area and an open-plan kitchen which is so well equipped that you might even decide to raincheck on the Franschhoek chefs and cook at home. With a Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and even a Nutribullet, you'll find everything you need in our kitchen. The fireplace creates a nice feel of comfort in summer and fills the whole apartment with cosy warmth in winter. And if you don't feel like going out, you can watch Netflix or stream music on the Smart TV. BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS - King size beds - Egyptian Cotton - Airconditioner - Walk-in showers - Bathtub The two same-sized bedrooms welcome you with king size beds with Egyptian cotton linen, lots of cupboard space and a little work place in each of them. Both of the bedrooms are ensuite, with large and light new bathrooms with walk-in showers and a bathtub in one of the bathrooms. Guest access You have the place all for yourself. Other things to note The Yard is located in an urban setting with a few restaurants nearby. Occasionally, there might be noise coming for the restaurants. We keep a strict eye on their opening hours though and can usually guarantee a quiet stay. *** South Africa is experiencing serious shortages in electricity at the moment. This is a country-wide issue which is currently causing controlled power-outages (Load shedding). The power is usually being shut-down for 2.5 hours, twice a day. There are time tables in place for you to plan around the power-less periods and you can inform yourselves about the schedules. Our wifi is powered during the power cuts and we have rechargeable lights and candles in the apartment. The gate at The Yard closes at 6 PM for security reasons, which is essential for everyone’s safety. As a result, check-ins using the lockbox after this time aren’t possible, and in the past, guests arriving unexpectedly late have found themselves locked out. To avoid this, we’ve arranged to leave the key securely at our Guesthouse close by for added flexibility with arrival times. Thank you for your understanding!
