Peaceful Cottage in the Applegate Wine Country

This cottage is nestled deep in the idyllic Applegate Valley. It is the doorway to wonderful things that you can do in this valley that include hiking, river rafting, fishing, floating in the lake, a basecamp for the Pine to Palm annual race, seasonal lavender farms, and wildlife, but most people come here to do wine tasting and tours of our world renown wines and vinyards. The space The kitchen is fully equipped with whatever you may need. If you can't find what you're looking for call me -- I for sure will probably have it. I also stock it with odds and ends of food just in case you don't feel like driving to our local pizza place, the neighborhood rustic hamburger joint, or our newly owned restaurant. They are all about 4-1/2 miles from the cottage. The living room is part of the grand room that shares with the kitchen and has a corner couch (which is actually quite roomy.) Some people like to use it for their children. Of course, I can supply extra sheets and blankets for them. I do ask you not to let your dogs on the couch. The bedroom is located in a separate place for the main room and has a queen size bed that is about 2 years old. There are lots of PG and G rated videos in a bookshelf that you can watch in the living room, local area books, and a Sirus XM radio to listen to in the bedroom (but it can also be heard in the living room too.) The bathroom is offset from the bedroom. It has a vanity sink outside from the toilet and a shower which is behind a separate door. There is an air conditioner with assisted fans for the summer and a 220-watt floor heather in the winter with assisted small heaters. I don't want to leave the dogs out. We cater to your dogs and have a small, fenced dog park for them to enjoy. You need to be responsible for their safety and lock the gate with a chain, water them, and make sure they don't dig out. I also provide a galvanized bucket for you to use outside because if your dogs are like mine, they probably drip water on the wood flooring. No, I do not let my AirBnB trained dogs near your dogs, but they are neutral dogs that like to get awards at dog shows. I keep them inside or on my deck while you are here. You might enjoy giving carrots to my 25-year-old BLM rescued horse whose name is Tyee. During the winter he doesn't have all of his little kid neighbors that bring him carrots as they take their walks and would appreciate your talking to him. He is too old to ride. I forgot to mention that the cottage is also equipped with board games, and other things that you might be interested in. Most people don't have time for that though because there are SO MANY things to do here. Guest access while you are here, you are welcome to wander around wherever you like. The back yard to my house has a working dog field that you can throw balls in. It is flat land, but has black berries on the side. There is a graveyard of lost balls in the blackberries because they are too hard to get out. Be careful. But, oh, please let me know if you are going into my back yard so I can lock my dogs up. They get soooooo excited about having dog company that they love to bark! Other things to note I do not allow cats.
