Accessed via a long private driveway with electric gates and a surrounding brick wall, the property showcases a beautifully preserved 1906 Villa homestead (your host's home), with the fully renovated Guesthouse sitting privately behind it and enjoying views toward Parihaka Mountain. The space The Guesthouse has been thoughtfully designed for guests who appreciate interior style, comfort, exceptional cleanliness and attention to detail. Every effort has been made to ensure your stay is comfortable, calm, and well cared for. 🛌 BEDROOMS Two bedrooms • Main bedroom with queen bed, wall heater, fan, and wardrobe • Loft bedroom with double bed (low ceilings on the sides, full standing height in the centre), and fan. Quality Sleepyhead mattresses, cotton sheets, linen duvet covers, wool underlays, and electric blankets. Please note: • the loft bedroom is accessed via stairs and may not be suitable for younger children sleeping alone • any portacot must be placed in the downstairs main bedroom. Available upon request: • portacot (with bassinet option) • baby bath, high chair, baby gate • sanitised toys 🧺 LAUNDRY The Guesthouse does not have its own washing machine or dryer. However: • a laundromat and dry cleaner are within a 7-minute flat walk or 2-minute drive • by arrangement, guests are also welcome to use the washing facilities in the host’s home. 🧹 CLEANING For those guests staying longer than 7 days (upon arrangement and only if this is your preference), a weekly vacuum and basic high level clean can be carried out by your host as well as replacement of towels and bed linen. 🐾 ALLERGIES A very friendly (and very fluffy) Ragdoll cat lives on the property and enjoys roaming outdoors. While we take care to keep the Guesthouse free of cat dander, guests with cat allergies should be aware of this. 📍 Location • 20-minute walk or 4-minute drive to town, the Town Basin and the iconic Hundertwasser Art Center • Close to supermarkets and amenities (7-minute walk) • 3-minute drive or 15-minute flat walk to Allevia Kensington Hospital • One street from Mair Park, with playground, river walks, and bush tracks Guest access The Guesthouse has its own designated car park and glass roof verandah with a wood pellet fire for your use and enjoyment. We welcome our guests to walk around the property and enjoy the gardens, however all areas of the property that are fenced/gated are for our private family use. Other things to note As we live in the main house on the property, we are very friendly and approachable if you need any assistance during your stay, however your privacy is our priority.
