Super fun, safe, and peaceful retreat for you, your family, or your friends to escape to Sonoma County & enjoy our 2-acre 2500sf mini ranch/resort. Enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens, pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and bocce court. 1.5 miles from downtown Petaluma (great restaurants), 20 minutes from the breathtaking Sonoma coast and wineries. Our home accommodates 8 people, We also have a 650sf, two bedroom barn suite that may be available and accommodates up to 4 more people. The space Our home is perfectly located! We are just outside city limits, providing a rural, quiet feel while being minutes to rockin' downtown Petaluma, wineries, and the gorgeous Sonoma Coast. Enjoy our indoor wood-burning fireplace, chef's kitchen, and our outdoor kitchen with gas grill and “Kamado” (Green Egg style) cooker. You can gather around the large outdoor gas fire pit between the patio and pool. Enjoy one of our two hot tubs for cool nights under the stars and the pool (not heated) during the warm Sonoma days. This is the best of a quiet country setting, fun Petaluma action, world-class wines, and close proximity to untouched coastal beauty. Guest access Entire house is available with the exception of locked closets for personal items. While rural, we do have neighbors so we do ask that our guests observe our parking requests and quiet times. Other things to note Within 10 minutes from our house, you can gather everything you will need for a one-of-a-kind farm-to-fork experience, including locally raised and grown meat, poultry and produce, local beer (Petaluma is the home to Lagunitas, and a few more excellent craft beers), and award-winning Sonoma wine. Petaluma typically has multiple great live music options, including nightly music. Local wineries include Sonoma Port Works, Keller, McEvoy Ranch (olive oil and winery), Kastania, Karah and more. We are a short drive to Dry Creek, Russian River, Carneros, Alexander Valley, and more. Other local favorites include the Marin French Cheese Company, Della Fattoria Breads, Tara Firma farm (Grass-fed, pasture-raised beef, Lamb, pork, chicken), and Bodega Bay Oyster Company, where you can enjoy BBQ oysters and bring home fresh oysters to shuck and grill yourself. Other favorites include the Marshall Store and Hog Island for a one-of-a-kind oyster experience. There is plenty of parking. We have games like "bags" (corn hole), a bocce court, and plenty of comfortable outdoor areas to enjoy and relax. Within minutes are great local hikes, golf, fishing, Frisbee golf, driving range, kayak, and stand-up paddle board rentals. Very important in Sonoma County are the following restrictions to Airbnb: They include: - No hosted parties - No amplified music - Quiet hours between 10:00 pm-7:00 am Please note the pool is not heated and Sonoma County ordinance is that there can not be any outdoor amplified music.
