The space Our three story turn-of-the-century house dates back to 1880, when the original parts of the house were built. After a careful renovation, with great care taken to select original materials and plans. the house is back in its original glory as the first building on the island of Tranholmen. It is a charming house, perfect for the large family or a family reunion, with many areas perfect for dining, socialising or just hanging out. The two main dining rooms on the first and second floor are spacious (30 sqm/323 square feet) so there is ample room for everyone. On colder days you can fire up the working tiled stoves and cosy up. The kitchen is both well equipped with all the necessary equipment for cooking and serving nice meals, even for larger groups. It also has an open fireplace and a generous kitchen island that becomes the natural gathering for snacks or a drink. There is boys bathtub and shower in the main bathroom connected to the master bedroom. The smaller bathroom on the third floor has a shower, sink and toilet and on the first floor is an additional (guest) bathroom with a sink and toilet. There are several options for setting the table for a dinner with several guests. You can choose between the kitchen with area view, the large dining room on the first floor for the largest groups, or the the enclosed sun porch where you are both inside and outside at the same time, as well as several places outside on the decks. Just follow the sun and adjust to the weather. There are also several more secluded places to sit and enjoy a book, as well as the pool deck shaded by the large cherry tree and green house, where both relaxation and play can be enjoyed. For the even larger groups we can also offer, at an additional charge, access to the guest house. This is a newly built and completely equipped house (55 sqm/592 sq feet) one bedroom house, situated at the western end of our lot.
