Being steeped in memories with stubbornness and love, I stole from time’s hands the beautiful grandmother's Diamanto's house, and now with joy, much love and imagination, it offers carefree summer days, full of light and colour! " Today it is waiting to host you and take you to the authentic and romantic era of the old houses of Zante! The space Welcome! We have the pleasure of hosting you in one of the few, perhaps the only, authentic 19th century houses that is inhabited to this day. It is the definition of a traditional house, in the heart of the village of Korithi in North Zakynthos. We made few interventions in the house that respect the architecture and style of its time. The stone and olive wood, perhaps over 100 years old, a typical example of Ionian architecture, dominate its doors and windows. The house was inhabited only a few months a year by my grandmother Diamanto for the olive harvest. The space that is now the bedroom was a stable, because my grandmother, coming from the neighboring village, Volimes, brought her animals with her. Thus, their trough is preserved in it, as well as the fireplace, authentic to this day without any intervention, which was used for cooking and warmth. The handmade romantic and carved beds of the early 19th century, the sewing machine, the lamps and my grandmother's handiwork adorn the space with their elegance. In the covered courtyard of our house, you can enjoy your breakfast and drink. In the garden of our house, under the olive trees, there is a comfortable parking lot and a kiosk, an additional outdoor quiet space for 🧘🧘‍♀️🫖☕️🍾🥂📚!!! We are waiting for you to enjoy a relaxing vacation in a traditional Zakynthian neighborhood and to taste, even for a while, the uniqueness of our house! Guest access The house is located in a quiet small neighborhood, 5 km driving from the port of Agios Nikolaos in North Zakynthos to the village of Korithi. From the main road, continue driving to the dirt road for about 200m and you will reach the parking lot of our house. The entrance to the house has no stairs. Other things to note The house is located in the beautiful village of Korithi in a quiet and traditional neighborhood. Just 10 minutes by car, you will find yourself in the lighthouse of Schinari, but also at the wonderful beaches of Makry Gialos and the thermal spa beach of Xigia. At the quiet little harbor of Agios Nikolaos, 5 minutes from the house by car, you can start day trips for the Shipwreck and the Blue Caves. From there you can also take the ferry boat and visit the nearest island of Kefalonia. In the capital of Zakynthos Island,26 km away, you can visit the Museum at D.Solomou Square, the Mausoleum at St. Mark's Square, the Strani Hill, where the poet D.Solomos inspired the National Hymn of Greece, Bohali and many other attractions.
