Description
'Pumbaa' is a flat grassed area for camping in your own tents for up to 45 persons. It is an area of 20 x 45 metres. There is a 6 x 5 metre covered deck area which has a gas BBQ, and outdoor lounge, and a second covered area with slab table with bench seats and a pizza oven. The area has a waterless composting toilet, potable water tank and a fire pit. There is a 120 metre walk to the outdoor cold shower. Please bring your own lighting or power options. The space Pumbaa is located at the back of the property (isolated so peace and quiet) at the ‘log walk’ of the obstacle course. It is 80 metres away from Rafiki where bigger groups set up their music sound systems and generally hold parties. Please note that Hakuna Matata resort charges camping PER PERSON PER NIGHT. Airbnb does not insure or make bookings of groups of more than 16 persons, but Hakuna Matata resort can cater for much larger bookings. For larger groups than 16, it is suggested you look for other ways of contacting Hakuna Matata resort. Guests are permitted to bring their own firewood or we offer bags of firewood for sale. Fires are fine as long as there is no fire ban in place. Guest access Pumbaa is easily accessible with 2wd vehicles. Lowered vehicles are not suitable on country roads let alone on the tracks of the property. Other things to note Alcohol and smoking is permitted but please take your rubbish with you, including cigarette butts and bottle tops. Also, please do not throw glass / cans into fires. Also, please ensure you pick up any accidentally broken glass. It is expected that groups take all their rubbish home with them so please bring bin bags. Please do not leave your rubbish in our street as you leave the premises!! Stroud landfill (10 kms away) is open on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays. For larger group bookings, a minimum $500 cash bond is collected on arrival from the guest who made the booking and this is returned if there is no damage or rubbish remaining at checkout. We know that partying means alcohol for many people. Please be respectful of others and the property. We have a swimming dam and we ask that people do not drink at this area and also do not go in the water while intoxicated. Although you are in the bush and neighbours are a long way away, it is requested that noise is kept to a reasonable level. You can party for sure!! But bass, in particular, travels in the valleys and neighbours can get annoyed. Please respect me if you are asked to either turn down the bass or the noise overall. Generally, bass is turned down at 12am and all music is strictly turned off at 1am. Also, please respect that this is my home, particularly at the shed house along the driveway. Please do not congregate at the house and if you need to ask something, send a message or make a phone call. Registration Details PID-STRA-8354
