NEWLY RENOVATED FOR 2025 Gwynn Lodge is a modern & cosy retreat for two. Set in an enviable and peaceful position, Gwynn Lodge has the benefit of two beaches and SW Coast path within minutes walk. Only a three minute walk from dog friendly Lusty Glaze Beach- serving cake, coffee, drinks and pizza. At the end of a private lane, you will find your own large and private parking area and enclosed garden. Newquay Centre is a pleasant fifteen minute stroll and Porth about seven minutes away. The space The lodge consists of two floors which have been carefully designed to include tasteful fixtures with contemporary and industrial accents. The entrance is through a large bifold door that can be fully opened to take advantage of the afternoon sun. The lower floor boasts a modern, open plan space comprising of a living room, well equipped kitchen, and bespoke shower room/toilet with a stylish Moroccan Tadelakt finish. A staircase leads to the upstairs bedroom, which has a cosy double bed, made up with beautiful bedlinen. There is also a desk/dressing table, hanging rail for guests use. There are sea glimpses out of one of the windows, and greenery from the others. Guest Access Set at the end of a private lane, the property has its own private, gravelled parking space and a private garden with seating for alfresco dining. There are gates that can be shut. The key will be found in a secure lockbox for independent access to the property, however we live close by should you require any help or advice. The lodge sits next to a private sports field, which is only used to host local football matches on alternate Saturdays during the playing season, and the odd weekday evening. It is locked at all other times and we see this of benefit as a it's a very peaceful haven for Cornish wildlife (birds of prey, badgers and bats etc) Other Things Gwynn Lodge is perfectly located to explore Newquay and its surrounding areas. Porth and Lusty Glaze beaches are within a three and five-minute walk from the front door. Lusty Glaze is the nearest beach and has been crowned 'Britain's Best Beach of the year 2017' by The Times. It's a great place to stand to enjoy views over the bays of Newquay and to enjoy the incredible sunsets! A cafe with bar facilities, events and Wedding ceremonies and amongst its attractions. Please note: Lusty Glaze is occasionally closed for private events. Porth is a fantastic family beach with independent cafes, a boutique, Pizza restaurant and The Mermaid Inn set on the beach. Further along from Porth is Watergate Bay and then Padstow, famous for its charming fishing port and celebrity foodie establishments. In the opposite direction lies Newquay's award-winning beaches: Tolcarne, Great Western, Towan and Fistral (Newquay's Premier Surfing Beach) and further along the coast, Perranporth with plenty of amenities, Porth Joke and St Agnes. Gwynn Lodge is very close to the Southwest Coastpath and perfectly located to enjoy a huge amount of walks from. Guest access There is an early check-in option from 1pm for a fee of £25 and similarly the possibility of a late check- out 1pm. This is only at our discretion. Please enquire during booking. Other things to note Extra Fees *Infants under the age of one are welcome. We can provide a stair gate, but please note that there is a concrete floor on the ground floor. A travel cot and high chair can be made available upon request for a small rental charge of £5 each item per day ( to be paid direct on arrival ). *One well behaved dog will be allowed. There is an extra £50 charge for the dog, payable as an extra charge during booking. The dog will not be allowed on furniture and we strongly suggest crating if left alone, as to prevent chargeable damage. *There is an option for early check-in. Early check-in is available from 1pm at the extra charge of £25. This is at our discretion and can be paid direct before arrival. There may be the possibility of late checkout for same cost (10am to 1pm). This must be agreed at our discretion also. *Please note that the property has a DOUBLE bed, due to sloping ceilings.
