700 metres from the beautiful Pearses beach is our original and quintessential 1950's beach shack. Our light filled home has lots of space inside and out. Large and sunny front deck and expansive green front yard. Inside the property sleeps 6 comfortably with 3 bedrooms - 2 queen and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. The house boasts mod cons in a quirky colourful space. Bay beach and shops less than 20 minute walk or 2 min drive. This property will give you the perfect old feel beach holiday. The space Located on the Mornington Peninsula is our quintessential 1950’s Australian beach shack. Blairgowrie Beachcomber was given it’s name because we think she was a gem of a find. We love the old beach feels you get when staying. The house is positioned in a quiet street 700 metres from the prehistoric and breathtaking Pearse’s Beach and less than 2 km to the tranquil and gentle bay beach, making it ideally positioned to enjoy both experiences. This property is mostly original. It is delightfully full of 1950’s charm. Boasting timber floors, large windows and doors, open plan and comfortably furnished in tastefully retro pieces to suit the home. The house is light filled and cosy all year round. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with very comfortable queen beds and a further bedroom with 2 single beds. All beds have mattress protectors, quilts and pillows. Main bedroom has built in robes. The lounge room has a large and comfy sofa with a TV. There are books and board games for you to enjoy. The property also has wifi. A new split system warms the open plan space in winter and cools the space in summer. Sleeping and living areas have new ceiling fans. The kitchen is partially original but updated with new cabinetry and fittings including a dishwasher and stove in 2019. It has a huge bench and is very user friendly with a great layout in the centre of the house. The kitchen and lounge are separated by a dining space with an original Parker table that seats 6 but opens out to seat 10 However, the best feature is the gloriously large front deck. This huge sunny spot overlooks the expansive green lawn and front garden making it an ideal spot to watch the kids play while having a sun soaked breakfast or an evening drink. Our house is an older style home and comes full of personality and quirks. It’s colourful and feels very homely. We love staying when you are not. Blairgowrie Beachcomber is a home away from home. We have a pantry with the basic essentials, a fully fenced yard, outdoor shower, toys, books and games. This is a strictly a no smoking and no party household. No schoolies or large groups. Property is registered with Mornington Peninsula Shire and adheres to its code of conduct. Linen and Towels can be provided on request for an additional fee.
