Our Country House is ideal for family fun, Kansas Speedway fans, KU & KC visitors, or just a simple private getaway! Guests have the entire lower level to themselves, and sole use of the rear entrance, swimming pool, and back yard! When not exploring nearby sports, eating and shopping, you can relax in the quiet of our 26 acres. We have a gazebo and swimming pool in the back, and the pastures beyond for your enjoyment. Tables, chairs, and barbecue grill are available for relaxing in the quiet, country surroundings. ** Guests will need to provide all other items, such as charcoal, lighter fluid, etc. Private entrance in the back. Plenty of parking available. We live on-site and would be happy to answer any questions about the home or neighborhood, share recommendations for restaurants and shopping, or provide suggestions for sightseeing activities. Full of in-home amenities, one can enjoy a delightful stay away from the hustle and bustle, or venture out to Kansas Speedway, Legends Shopping and Restaurants (15 miles); KU Campus and Lawrence Downtown Shopping and Restaurants (19 miles), or Kansas City, MO (30-35 miles to River Market, Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadium, The Plaza, and Downtown). Whatever you choose, we’ll provide you with our welcome binder of information and local sights, restaurants and activities, including our local winery! Our house is about 40 miles from the Kansas City International Airport. Major grocery stores and drugstores are just outside the neighborhood. Providence Medical Center Amphitheater and the Kansas City Renaissance Festival are nearby (12 miles) and Schlitterbahn Kansas City Water Park is just 19 miles away! All guests must have a profile picture so we can identify the person who will be arriving at our property. We require at least one review for a reservation. Exercise Room with sauna, elliptical, rowing machine, free weights, tv and back extension. A queen-sized air mattress is available upon request, if you need more than 3 queen size beds for your stay. Groups under 5 people requesting a third bed require a 5 person charge. There is an additional $17.00 charge per person per day after the first two quests. We provide all the basics: bedding, towels, cookware, dishes. The in-ground pool has no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk. Swimming pool is open mid-April through the first week of September.
