Phoenix Rising is a spacious apartment on the ground floor, with patio and pool, backing straight onto the mountainside with stunning views over False Bay - the highest house on the mountain above the famous penguin colony of Boulders Beach, and Windmill beach popular diving site to spot octopus, just below. We are in a safe neighborhood, in a quiet cul-de-sac, 10 minutes from Cape Point Nature reserve - a nature lovers dream. We do not notice power cuts as we have a backup inverter. The space Unlike most houses in this hillside area, it is possible to drive right to the front door making this an ideal holiday destination for those who wanting to stairs. We tick all the airbnb boxes for wheel chair access with open access for shower, toilet, bedrooms and living area, with one one small step to enter. We have a wheel chair, walking frame, crutches and extra high toilet seat. We have children toys, high chair, camping cot and baby bath. We offer the whole ground floor including a large living room, a dinning room and great kitchen with all amenities, opening onto a long patio - perfect for entertaining. All windows have spectacular views over the sea. An extra cloakroom and utility room with washing machine is useful. The sleeping wing consists of two inter-leading bedrooms each with twin single beds with extra matress If required. As rooms are interleading and share one bathroom this acomodation is most suited to a family. There is a 2nd toilet near the ‘kids bedroom.’ Decor is ethnic with Moroccan tiles in the bath room and kitchen, with all paintings and outside wall mural done by the owner. There is charming sea view from the bath with access onto a little private courtyard with hot shower, ideal when you return from the beach. The swimming pool is for your exclusive use. One small dog is allowed and the garden is well fenced. Two other dogs live on the property with the owners. Guest access Guests can use the whole ground floor with patio and garden for barbeques and sunbathing. You can access directly onto the mountain for a contour walk from the garden. Even if you are fit the climb to the top of the mountain and onto Cape Point is a demanding hike, but considered one of the most spectacular in the Cape Peninsular. Behind the house the lookout swing seat and terraced garden is reserved for the owners, who live upstairs from October to April. We assure you maximum privacy and no noise from above. Other things to note As we are elderly and do not want the extra risk of getting Covid we only accept guests who are fully vaccinated so please do not book with us if this is an issue for you. We live in our own self contained apartment on the first floor of the house but you have total privacy and the two apartments are sound proofed as much as possible but we do have two small poodles who are good watch dogs and bark occasionally. We tend to minimise socialising with guests unless we can be of assistance so you’re privacy is not invaded, and we ask guests to use the front pool space for their pet if they have one whilst we use the top garden which is not available for guests.
