In the 1800s, it was used as a farmhouse to serve the surrounding agricultural land, complete with a cellar for wine production and a stable for raising livestock. This destination was maintained until the immediate post-war period, and then underwent a first renovation in 1957 in which the structure lost its predominantly agricultural feature to start having a more residential destination. In 2011, after 54 years, the villa underwent another major renovation and was divided into two separate apartments in line with modern standards, with air conditioning for both summer and winter and a solar water heater to produce hot water in the spirit of energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources. The recent renovation was carried out in a conservative manner, preserving, where possible, the original furnishings and period fixtures, giving the apartments a distinctly pleasant retro style. However, the agricultural tradition has endured; in fact, a vineyard was recently planted in the immediate vicinity to produce fine, local wines. Guests can enjoy the view of a beautiful lemon grove.
