Description
Romantic, peaceful, quiet and relaxing. An abundance of open space, big sky and spectacular views. Some comments from our guests include "a serene experience", amazing, magical, pure bliss. We love nothing more than to share our little piece of paradise and make your stay a wonderful and memorable experience. The space The Thamarra Guest house is a quintessential Australian Cottage with European luxuries. Newly built, the Guest House is situated adjacent to the main house, on a 60 acre boutique Angus Cattle farm. The cottage boasts a wrap around veranda, high ceilings, a restored original claw foot bath, wood burning fire place and stunning natural terracotta floors throughout. Warm and cosy in winter, cool and breezy in summer. A king sized bed with crisp white sheets, a luxurious bathroom with fluffy towels and bathrobes. The sitting room has an extra large lounge, TV and Apple TV. There is a separate dinning nook and a full kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven and gas cook top. Reverse cycle air conditioning will keep you comfortable regardless of the time of year. The Guest House is solar powered during day light hours. Outside, the veranda has a table and chairs for alfresco dining, a big comfy day bed with lots of cushions and an outdoor shower and deep bath. There's nothing more wonderful than soaking in the bath under a starry sky, no matter the season. The kitchen is stock with some essentials, inc coffee (instant and ground) an assortment of teas, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh milk, and an assortment of breakfast condiments. A breakfast hamper is provided, with fresh baked sour dough, farm fresh eggs. Muesli, yogurt and fruit. Guest access The entire guest house is yours to enjoy. You are free to wander around the property. We suggest a stroll down the 300 m drive way cross the road to the next paddock and explore the Never Never River, or continue down Gordonville Road and visit the Gleniffer School of the Arts Hall and the Gleniffer Church. The Gleniffer Church was the inspiration for Peter Carries famous novel Oscar and Lucinda. Other things to note When wondering around the property, or walking to and from the river, we ask that you use the gates and not attempt to cross cattle grids on foot. Any gates opened should be closed immediately. We have a little cavoodle, his name is Leo and stays close to home, but does love to play if invited. Registration Details PID-STRA-4829
