This cosy cottage has been stylishly enhanced to provide guests with a range of modern conveniences whilst retaining some of the original 1880 features. A refurbished wash house, in a separate building across a small court yard, provides guests with additional facilities including utility room, second shower room, equipment drying storage room, secure cycle storage area, quiet room. There is a garden and sun terrace with views across the Leven Estuary. Cottage access via 15 steps from the road. The space The cottage has two double bedrooms with king size beds, the beds can be split into two small singles if this is required. There are two modern shower rooms one the first floor alongside the first bedroom and one in the wash house. The second bedroom is in the attic. Downstairs the open plan living area provides a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a lounge with a feature fire place and a wood burning stove. Gas, Electric and fuel for the stove is included in the price for the cottage. There is fast fibre internet connection and a Smart TV which gives guests access to the full range of catch up TV channels. Films are also available to guests who have an Amazon Prime or Netflix account. Guest access Guests have sole use of the whole cottage including the wash house and the lovely terraced garden with plenty of space to enjoy the elevated views across the Leven Estuary to Cartmel Fell. There is a sun terrace with patio dining furniture. Other things to note Access to the cottage is via 15 steps. Inside the cottage the stairs to the upper floors are narrower and steeper than in a modern house. The second bedroom is located in the attic and has some low beams. The wash house has low doors and a low roof beam on the first floor. One large or two small dogs are welcome but we ask that they are restricted to the ground floor of the cottage and not left unattended during the stay and are supervised whilst in the garden. There is unrestricted on street parking out side the cottage. The Ship Inn, in Greenodd, is now permanently closed, however The Britannia Inn, in Penny Bridge is a perfect alternative just a ten minute walk from the cottage.
