Sea access & sunset - Fantastic apartment

Welcome to our beautiful Villa Plaka, the house on the rocks! With fantastic panoramic views of the Ionian Sea and its offshore islands near the small mountain village of Afionas on the island of Corfu! The space This is one of a total of two bookable apartments in our house. The apartment presented here on the upper floor of the house is the larger of the two at 130 square meters and sleeps a maximum of five people. The smaller apartment with direct access to the garden can accommodate a maximum of three people. Depending on the available data, it is of course possible to reserve both apartments if you need sleeping accommodations for up to eight people. However, the two reservations must be made separately. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have. The upper apartment presented here extends over two floors and is 130 square meters, in addition, the area of the two terraces is about 70 square meters. In addition, you can also use the 3500 sqm property. This is very diverse due to its sloping location: at the level of the house there are lush gardens and beautiful plants and a wide view over the sea – while there is direct access to the sea below. It's rocky and a little rough here. On a small platform right by the sea, you can experience this completely different charm. In good weather, experienced and confident swimmers can climb directly into the sea here. And afterwards you can rinse off under the outdoor shower. The apartment is: On the first floor is a spacious living/dining/cooking area, as well as an adjoining guest toilet. The large, open, fully equipped kitchen with five-burner gas stovetop, kitchen island, large fridge (with three freezer compartments) leads into the large living area, which in addition to an olive wood dining table, stereo system and a TV has many cozy seating areas and access to the first of the two terraces. With its western orientation, it offers a fantastic view of the sea. Here you can marvel at wonderful sunsets every evening. The spacious terrace has an outdoor sofa, cozy shady spots, sun loungers and a large dining table. A few steps lead to the second floor of the apartment: here you will find two large bedrooms and a bathroom with a walk-in, modern shower. Both bedrooms lead to the second terrace. This is located above the first terrace presented and accordingly has an equally magnificent view that can be enjoyed from the sun loungers, for example. The two bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, comfortable beds and mosquito nets. All windows and doors also have fly screens – so you can provide some (mosquito-free) ventilation. Other things to note The Korfiot roads are generally in quite good condition – nevertheless, we recommend a 4-wheel-drive vehicle... – especially for the last stretch of the access road to our property. This section is not paved and can be difficult to drive on, especially in bad weather, as it is very steep. During such periods, it may be necessary or advisable to park your car higher up in the village, even if this means walking a certain distance on steep terrain. To cope with these challenging conditions, especially in bad weather, we recommend an off-road vehicle with four-wheel drive or a skilled driver. Once you arrive, you will of course find your own parking spaces in front of the entrance door. Villa Plaka is both sustainable and self-sufficient: hot water and electricity are generated by the sun on its own roof. There are no additional cleaning fees: they are already included in the price. However, as of January 1, 2024, as landlords, we are required to pay a sustainability levy of 15 euros per night per apartment (NOT per person) to the Greek government. The tax serves the preservation of the visitable environment and the protection of nature. These fees are based on your length of stay and must be deposited by you in cash on site. In summary, you can say that almost every comfort is provided here; from all the rooms, you have a great, unobstructed view of the ocean, and you can look forward to a wonderful sundowner atmosphere!
