You will love this place because of the country location, open space, fresh air and fantastic sunrises and sunsets. The Summit is a short drive north of Stanthorpe where you will find the nearest restaurants and boutique shops. Great wineries and attractions nearby up to 40 min drive. Drive yourself, book a taxi or local wine tour to get around during your stay. The space Spacious, fully self contained, comfortable accommodation in a quiet country setting, with views of the Great Dividing Range. Your accommodation is 3 separate bedrooms and open plan living/dining/kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size stove, microwave and fridge as well as pots/pans, toaster, kettle, wok, rice cooker, crockery/cutlery for you to self cater if you wish. Reverse cycle air conditioning keeps you warm or fireplace if wanting more ambiance (own wood required) The 2 Showers and 2 toilets are both in the one shower room (no en-suites, refer to photos) Outside there is a verandah for dining and relaxation and a large yard for you to enjoy. There is a firepit for toasting marshmallows and a wood barbecue (own wood required) There is a designated open parking bay beside your accommodation. You are close enough to enjoy and explore the town of Stanthorpe and the many attractions and working farms are within a 30 minute drive. Valley View is a small working farm 1.33km off the New England Highway, on the Qld/NSW border. There is our house and 3 other AirBnbs situated within walking distance of each other. Your accommodation is private, but not secluded and you are likely to see/hear other people during your stay. As this is a farm there are some farm animals about and machinery operating at different times throughout the day. Guest access All of this space is yours only, you do not share with others. Other things to note Firewood is not provided in your booking. We can purchase if requested before checkin or bring your own. Wood is available at various places like the highway service station or mitre 10 No free wifi available but wifi will work in this area. Beds are ‘standard’ (no long or king) For a unique twist the shower lights are on the original timer system installed for the workers. The main light will stay on so you won’t end up in the dark. Washing machine is coin operated. Detergent/pegs provided. Extra or replacement linen during your stay- sheet sets, mattress protectors, towels will incur a fee. Portacot and linen and highchair available on request. Even though the accommodation is on a farm we do not offer interactive farm activities like horse riding, cow milking etc. You are quite welcome to look at different things and we are happy to show you around. Beware electric fences are used.
