This newer basement space is modern, clean and equipped with a full range of amenities including a full kitchen with professional appliances. This space is perfect for couples, business travel or small families looking for a central home base from which to explore Portland or a quiet spot to relax. We are 20 minutes from the airport and 5-10 minutes from downtown, the Moda and convention centers and a number of fun neighborhoods full of restaurants and shops. The space This is a cozy 700 square foot daylight basement apartment with a completely separate entrance. It was designed with travelers in mind and has a number of extras and amenities that we have come to appreciate finding when we travel! A beautiful kitchen is available for your use, complete with a professional electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and French press. The bathroom has a walk in tiled shower and plenty of soft towels. The living space has a television with basic channels, Netflix and Hulu, as well as an electric fireplace and a giant map of Oregon. It is a perfect cozy space to plan your next adventure or relax and unwind. The space is also equipped with gigabit wifi internet. The bedroom is separated from the living area by french doors that still let in plenty of light when you want it. In this space you'll find a king bed with a Tuft and Needle mattress and plenty of pillows and blankets and a cozy comforter. There is also a sofa bed in the living room with a 5 inch memory foam mattress (no bars poking you on this sofa bed!) and extra bedding that can be used if additional sleep space is needed. There is a closet in the bedroom and plenty of shelving available for you to store your luggage and clothing. We have spent a year lovingly designing, building and preparing this space for the enjoyment of our friends and family and we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do! Guest access Registered guests will be provided with a key code to access the apartment. You will have exclusive access to the entire apartment for the duration of your stay, as well as the shared space in the fenced backyard. There is typically plenty of unmetered street parking available in front of the house. Other things to note We have two energetic, friendly dogs. They will always be accompanied in the backyard when there are guests staying in the unit. They can bark sometimes but are people lovers. If you have negative experiences or fear of animals (particularly large dogs) please do let us know if advance and we will do our best to limit any interaction they may have with you.
