Greylag Cottage is located on Freeman Street, just a short walk from Wells Quay and the centre of town with all that it has to offer. Guests love the location. Greylag is a traditional Grade II listed flint cottage dating back to 1825. Has been updated to a modern standard throughout. It offers the traditional with the benefit of mod cons that we just can't do without. It's the perfect base to explore all that beautiful North Norfolk has to offer. The space Greylag Cottage is a cosy two bedroom cottage with lots of ameneties. Ground Floor: Sitting/Dining Room with comfortable seating, smart TV with Freesat, table and four chairs and multi fuel stove. The cottage has a modern kitchen with an electric hob and oven, fridge, worktop freezer located in cupboard opposit bathroom, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Bathroom with bath, rainfall shower head and hand held shower, washbasin and toilet. First Floor: Bedroom 1 - at the front of the cottage, this is a delightful double bedroom with antique furniture and tasteful decor. There is a wardrobe, chest of draws and dressing table - hair dryer provided. Bedroom 2 with 2ft 6 inch twin beds which can be configured as a double bed, access from one side only - please request on booking. This is a cosy room which benefits from lovely views towards the pinewoods - ignore the Holkham car park!!! Greylag Cottage is fully central heated and also has a woodburner in the sitting room for those cosy Autumn and winter breaks. It has a combi-boiler so hot water on demand. We provide a starter pack for the woodburner (wood, kindling, firelighters and matches) from October to end March. We provide towels (bath and hand), books and games, including colouring pens and books for the children, telephone for incoming calls only, travel cot, stair gate and highchair. The cottage also comes with unlimited Wi-Fi and a smart TV to access your usual channels like Netflix etc. 'It has been a real pleasure to stay in a cottage that is clean and well equipped and obviously looked after.' Greylag Cottage also has a lovely little garden and summer house. In warmer weather, you can spend time on the patio at the end of the garden overlooking fields or in the cooler Autumn evenings, you can sit in the summer house and just watch nature go by. There is also a built in BBQ. STRICTLY NO SMOKING AND NO PETS - THANK YOU! PARKING: note that there is no designated parking place for the cottage. However, there are around 20 free on street spaces opposite and to either side of the cottage on Freeman Street where the cottage is located. I also provide a list of other free parking close to the cottage. Permits are aslo availaible to purchase in the carpark at Stearman's Yard for both short and long stay. There is also another carpark on Freeman Street which is pay and display. It can sometimes be tricky but, I can always find somewhere to park within a two or three minute walk from the cottage. Guest access Guests have acess to the whole house and the back yard and garden. Other things to note No pets allowed I am afraid and strictly non-smoking. Parking: There is free on street non designated parking opposite the house (4 spaces) and to either side (around 15 spaces). Note that these are not designated spaces. Before you arrive I also provide a list of streets within a couple of minutes walk where there is free parking available. There is also a paid car park on Freeman Street towards the Quay and a weekly permit bookable. Very few guests have had problems parking even in high season!
