Built in 1922, the farmhouse still preserves original traditional fittings, beams, windows, and other details from its long history. The house has been carefully renovated using natural materials, including Japanese cedar, while retaining the atmosphere and character of an old Japanese home. The entire house is rented privately to one group at a time, making it an ideal place to slow down and enjoy the Japanese countryside at your own pace. > THE HOUSE * Hinoki Cypress Bath Relax in a traditional hinoki cypress bath surrounded by the gentle scent of Japanese cypress. In winter, you may also enjoy a seasonal yuzu bath using yuzu picked from the garden on the property. * Sunny Engawa Veranda The sunny veranda is made with carefully selected low-temperature-dried Japanese cedar. It feels cool and refreshing in summer and warm and comfortable in winter - a perfect place to sit, read, or simply watch the countryside. * Retro-Modern Japanese Interior The house combines traditional Japanese details with modern comfort. The high ceiling and large wooden beams give you a sense of the building's history, which stretches back more than 100 years. * Traditional Tatami Bedroom The bedroom features a raised tatami platform with futon bedding. By train: * The nearest station is Hanasaki Station on the Tobu Isesaki Line. * Pickup from either Hanasaki Station or Kuki Station can be arranged in advance. * Please contact us before your stay if you would like to use this service. By car: * A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding countryside. * Free parking is available on the property. The location is also convenient for combining your stay with destinations such as Kawagoe and Nikko. > THINGS TO DO AROUND KAZO Rather than rushing from one tourist attraction to another, we recommend slowing down and enjoying the countryside around the farmhouse. * Watarase Retarding Basin Explore one of Japan's largest wetland areas, with vast open landscapes of water and greenery. It is a great place for walking, cycling, and birdwatching. * The Three-Prefecture Border Visit the unique point where Saitama, Tochigi, and Gunma prefectures meet. It is located on flat land and can be visited on foot. * Try Kazo Udon Kazo is well known for its local udon noodles. Visit a local udon restaurant and enjoy one of the area's traditional foods. * Musashino Village A great option for families with children. The park offers amusement rides, animal encounters, pony rides, and seasonal fruit and vegetable harvesting experiences. * Hanasaki Park Enjoy a relaxing walk surrounded by greenery and seasonal nature. It is a pleasant place to visit with children or stop by before or after your stay. * Kawagoe & Nikko Kazo is also a convenient base for combining rural Japan with sightseeing. For example: Tokyo -> Kazo -> Kawagoe -> Nikko This allows you to experience modern Tokyo, historic Japan, traditional rural life, and the natural beauty of Nikko in one trip. > PLEASE NOTE This is a genuine old farmhouse in a quiet rural community, not a modern hotel. * Some original fittings, old glass, and traditional materials have been carefully preserved. Please handle them with care, and do not run inside the house. * Because local residents live nearby, parties, loud music, shouting, and excessive noise are not permitted. Guest access Since it is a single building, the entire building is available for private use. *No staff will be stationed between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. the next morning. We have preserved as much as possible of the original fittings, glass, beams, and other traditional materials. Please be careful when using the house, as there are some uneven floors and traditional fittings that are unique to an old farmhouse. As the property is surrounded by nature, insects may be present depending on the season. 【About the Farm】 The property is located on a working farm. You may occasionally hear sounds from farming activities and agricultural machinery. At the same time, staying on a real working farm allows you to experience the everyday atmosphere of rural Japan in a way that you cannot experience at a typical hotel. 【About the Surrounding Area】 The farmhouse is located in a quiet rural community. The area becomes especially quiet at night. There are also fewer restaurants and shops nearby than you would find in urban areas. We recommend using a car if you plan to explore the surrounding area. 【House Rules】 * Please do not run inside the house. * Please do not make loud noises or play music at a high volume. * Parties are not permitted. * Local residents live nearby, so please keep noise to a minimum, especially at night. * Please treat the old building and its traditional fittings with care.
