The cottage is nestled on a peaceful private equestrian estate, sharing the property with the main residence while maintaining privacy and separation. Guests enjoy their own peaceful retreat, surrounded by rolling fields, mountain views and the gentle presence of horses. Large windows fill the space with natural light and sweeping scenery. Enjoy morning coffee while watching the mist lift off the mountains, peaceful afternoons exploring the grounds, and after the sunset enjoy roasting marshmallows at your firepit. A new, sound proofed art studio, located under the main house by the pool with its own entrance, offers a creative escape perfect for artists to create their next masterpiece or just have fun with friends. Bring your creative materials (no oil paints please.) You will be inspired by YouTube TV art tutorials, for convenience, your own bathroom and tea kettle to keep you going. Not to mention the most gorgeous views for Plein Air landscape or subject art-horses anyone? This space is available upon request or just ask for a basket of art supplies in the cottage and it will be ready for you to use there. This is a working equestrian estate, offering guests a rare opportunity to experience peaceful country living in a refined and serene environment. The atmosphere is calm, beautiful and restorative. Guest access You’ll have the cottage to yourself and there are tall evergreens separating the view between houses so it is private. Since it is a small farm you may see me out and about as I take care of the property and animals. We are mindful that you are here to rest and relax and always do our best to accommodate guests needs. The dogs are in and out all day but if you prefer not to see them just say so and we will do our best to keep them inside. Their names are Foster the Basset Hound, and Pippa our young Corgi. Other things to note We have animals and they enjoy guests attention. Horses: The small black and white pony is named Daisy-Mae. Teddy Bear is the Gypsy Vanner/Belgian horse. Both are sweethearts and very beautiful unless it is muddy...ugh. Sometimes they are in a paddock up close to the cottage which is really fun for our guests. They are kept in an electric fence but love a visit. They enjoy real food like apples and carrots so hold your hand FLAT when feeding them. Please cut up small pieces and just one or two fruits. Our water is excellent; in fact, we haven't tasted better. Fire Pit: Please bring wood and paper for your fire. Sometimes we have wood left from another guest, but it is best to grab a bundle on your way up from town. If you forget something just ask- we probably have it! Stays longer than 4 nights and/or more than two people have nominal fees to accommodate extra cleaning. Just inquire and we will let you know based on your unique stay.
