Description
Belindo is fit for one or two families or a small group of max 8 people with 3 bedrooms and bathroom with bathtub, hot shower and western style toilet. 6 beds, 2 optional extra mattresses. The space You will have the complete upper floor with huge terrace and balcony all around at your disposal. There are 3 bedrooms, each with two separate beds (90 x 190) with firm mattresses. There is one small bedroom at the front, with access to the roofed terrace overlooking the road. The two bedrooms at the back also have access to the (partially roofed) terrace at the back, overlooking Lake Toba. The shared bathroom (for the people on the upper floor only) is equipped with a bathtub with hot shower. There also is a western style toilet. The terrace at the back has a beautiful view over Lake Toba and from here you can see the sun go down right behind the distant mountains on the other side of the lake. There is a water dispenser available for you to make tea or coffee in the morning. There also is a small refrigerator to keep your beverages cold. There also is a toaster device (somewhat like a panini press) available. There is no washing machine available, but we can arrange for laundry service if you like. Downstairs lives a very friendly Indonesian family (Gerson and Nertita) with their kids. They will help you with any of your inquiries. You can access the upper floor from the living room downstairs (which most of our guests do) or if you prefer, you can use the stairs outside. Guest access The entire upper floor is at your disposal. Other things to note Keep in mind that Belindo is located “in the middle of life”. This means that the people surrounding you will be awake quite early. It can be noisy in Indonesia. Think of scooters driving by, barking dogs, squeaking frogs, crowing roosters and the like. If you need complete tranquility, then Belindo might not be the right place for you. If you wish to immerse yourself in Indonesia, Belindo does have a lot to offer however. Not just the beautiful view, but you can see people harvesting rice, people going to church all dressed up, get in touch with the people, et cetera. You could try fried bananas or spicy “mie gomak” (also named spaghetti Batak) right across the street. In the weekends you could have some very tasty “bakso” just a few steps away and so on.
