Door County, Wisconsin is a special place in it's own right but Ephraim is a quiet village perfect for families that want to experience an authentic Door County vacation. Families can experience a simpler life, couples can reignite the flame, outdoor enthusiasts can hike, bike or kayak, gals that want girl time can shop til they drop, guys that love to boat, fish, and golf can, and for everyone else in between you'll feel at home while staying in your cottage on 3 acres in gorgeous Door County. The perfect retreat for two. Decorated in a very sunny theme and has a lot of windows. NOTE: this cottage has a full size bed that rests up against a wall on one side. The bedroom is quite small. There is also a sunken living room with working fireplace. Kitchen is fully equipped to prepare three meals a day. The bathroom is a full bath. Boosted WiFi, Spectrum cable TV, Amazon Firestick, air conditioning and baseboard heat are also included. This cottage sits closest to the main house and does not have a deck but does include two porch chairs, two chairs in the back yard, a BBQ grill, and picnic table. Parking is in front of the cottage. This cottage fits a single vehicle. No trailers without permission. The entire cottage is yours to enjoy. There are 11 other units on the property which are only accessible to guests renting the unit. However, the fire pit is available for use at any time of day/evening. The children's playground is available from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. We live on the back of the property at the main house and office. You are welcome to pop in and say Hi. Ephraim is a village with a true village feel. Within walking distance you will find a delicious breakfast spot called Good Eggs, homemade fudge at the Door County Confectionery, creamy ice cream at Wilson's Restaurant, and the Best Fish Boil in the entire county at the Old Post Office. You are two minutes away from incredible sunsets, a sandy beach and blocks away from a number of art galleries, quaint shops, and Village historical sites. If the outdoor life is what you crave, Peninsula State Park with its hiking and biking trails is a short car drive from the cottage. Are you a theatre buff? Northern Sky Theatre is located in Peninsula State Park and for movie lovers the drive-in theater with a nightly double feature is right up the road. Want to sight see? Take a Trolley tour. Love wine? Door County has a plethora of wineries with tours and tastings ready for you to enjoy. Brand new sidewalks in the Village make getting around easier whether you walk, bike, skate, or ride a segway. The speed limit for motor vehicles is 25 mph so you don't have to worry about unsafe traffic. You will want to bring the following items for your stay: 1. Charcoal and lighter fluid if you enjoy grilling (we may have some left over from guests) 2. Beach towels. Available for rent at $5/week/person. 3. Doggie bed, crate, bowls, towels for muddy feet and doggie duty bags. 4. Spices/Salt/Pepper as well as foil, plastic wrap and ziploc bags.
