Description
Stay in a historic antebellum home on a working farm. Capell House was built around 1858 just outside of Camden, Alabama. This 25 acre farm is the perfect place to stay while visiting Camden and only a short, scenic drive to Monroeville, home of the late author Harper Lee. The area is rich with history and outdoor activities. Breakfast is included and is thoughtfully prepared using seasonal and local ingredients by Chef Jackie Sharp. The space Relax and unwind on the spacious wrap around porch or relax in the parlor or library with your favorite book. Guest access Soak up some sun or cool off in the pool. Towels are provided. Other things to note We are a working farm with chickens, horses and 3 French Toulouse geese. There are certain sights, sounds and smells associated with farm animals. Please keep that in mind and enjoy the serenity of country life. We also have friendly, indoor pets, 1 active and friendly medium size dog, and 3 indoor cats. Breakfast is included so please notify us of any food allergies or special instructions when you book your stay. Due to the historic nature of our home, and the safety and comfort of all of our guests and resident pets we do not allow children under 12 years of age.
