Rental unit in Barrie
Description
Inspired by Scandinavian meets modern design this apartment is located on the first floor of our home, nestled amongst the trees in the East End of Barrie. Minutes away from restaurants, beaches and bars this boutique like suite is ideal for travellers looking for the relaxation of a cottage with the amenities of the city. The space We named the space after my Grandfather who has always had a curiosity for the world around him. Road trips are amongst his favourite hobbies and when we started designing a space for others to enjoy on their adventures, we couldn't help but be reminded of his tenacious ability to go out and explore the country. Being a skilled woodworker we decided to pay tribute to his passion and build most of the furniture you see in the space by hand using journals he passed on to us. The Karl Heinze is a passion project for us and reminds us to always explore our surroundings. The main room and bedroom both have big bright windows that gaze upon lush greenery and big beautiful trees. Wanting to give our guests an option to cook food, we constructed a kitchen-like space with some tools to make very simple meals. This is not a full kitchen, you will find some dishes, cutlery, pot, pan, spices, a mini fridge, an electric cook top, a toaster oven, kettle and coffee maker- akin to a hotel stay. We chose Belgian linens to cover the bed and turkish towels for the bathroom to give you the very best in comfort. We designed and made the furniture with a Scandinavian minimalistic appeal. Guest access You have a designated parking space at the bottom of the stairs on the right side of the driveway. Please note our driveway is on a hill and during winter months can be challenging particularly with heavy snowfalls. We make every effort to make it a smooth arrival and ensure your parking space is the most convenient for you. The only shared space is the main entrance. Once in the entrance a separate door will take you to your space on the first floor, which only you have access to. You are welcome to use the side garden for leisure.
