L'Atelier: Art, Garden and Sea

L'Atelier is located in the center of Scarlino, a medieval hilltop town overlooking the Tuscan coast of Maremma, an area rich in history and Etruscan sites, artistic and natural beauty. The apartment is located in an artist's house-studio and is furnished with works of art. A sea-view garden of plants and sculptures is shared with guests, where everyone has their own space. There are free parking spaces a few steps from the house. The nearest beaches are a 10-minute drive. The space The Atelier (56 mq) is an apartment with an independent entrance from the alley that leads to the castle. There are a larger bedroom with a sea and garden view (double bed + sofa bed) and another smaller bedroom (2 single beds that can be made into a comfortable double bed with the addition of 1 single double mattress or can be transformed into a sitting room), bathroom, living room with a fully equipped kitchen and terrace. We also have a Chicco cot on request. It is located in the house where the owners, the artist Mauro Corbani and his wife Laura, a psychologist, live and is furnished with original works of art that can also be admired in the quiet garden available to guests. You can also visit the artist's studio and you can participate in a chalcographic engraving course. Overall, you will enjoy a unique atmosphere given by the presence of the works of art, the garden of plants and sculptures and the splendid sea view. Guest access It can be rented all year round (independent heating). As an alternative to the high summer season, Spring and Autumn are colorful and quiet, Winter is mild and offers breathtaking sunsets. In the village you will find food shops, bars and restaurants, bank and post office, pharmacy, Red Cross and museums. We recommend using your own vehicle for getting around and visiting the surroundings. We are in a ZTL area, therefore it is possible to reach the apartment with your car only for loading/unloading luggage and with prior authorization from the Municipal Police. By sending us your car's license plate, we will take care of obtaining the permit to access the ZTL for your arrival and departure. Don't worry, the village is small and the free parking lots are a 5-minute walk from the house. In case of certified disability you can enter and exit without limits. Other things to note The garden is accessed from outside the apartment by going down a few steps. The garden is the exclusive property of our house and is shared with the guests of our 2 apartments. Each has its own reserved space with table and benches where you can eat, deck chairs and sun loungers to relax and sunbathe. Generally, we do not accept animals but we can talk about it if you have small, well-behaved dogs that you should never leave alone. Smoking is absolutely prohibited in the apartment.
