The Kondhan home is a Mud-Brick house. Built in 2013 with locally available materials and least disturbance to the existing landscape. It blends with the tribal houses in the area. We were inspired by the famous Architect Laurie Baker and his philosophy. Mud walls/Terracotta double roof Tiles/ Wooden Pillars and beams connected by bearing and pintles/Terracotta flooring/2 open bedrooms. Price includes breakfast. Lunch and dinner, if needed, would be charged extra. The space The house is situated on a three acre organic farm and has four bedrooms which can comfortably accommodate 8 people. We also provide mattresses for extra guests. We grow few organic vegetables on the farm. The house has three shared bathrooms, a living room, two big balconies, and a kitchen with provisions for cooking on gas as well as firewood. We provide fresh linen, towels, soap, shampoo and other basic requirements. You can trek up the nearby hill, read a book, go for a walk around the village, watch the birds or stargaze at night. On winter nights, you can enjoy a campfire and barbeque. Best time to visit is Mid-June to February. Summers are hot! Guest access All spaces are accessable During your stay We like socializing with guests but would also respect your privacy. We can be contacted by email or phone. Other things to note We would appreciate guests not expecting a resort-style experience.
