Description

Charming and full of character Morfa Lodge is located on the outskirts of Porthmadog. Flat Screen Tv with DVD player. Short drive to all local amenities. The space Brimming with character and charm, this wonderful holiday cottage is just like stepping back in time! Built in the early 1800s by William Maddox, founder of Porthmadog, Morfa Lodge was originally the old coach house & stable block for the nearby manor house and was on the map before Porthmadog itself as we know it! "An absolute gingerbread cottage, this former Coach House is full of charm and character, a five minute stroll to Porthmadog's harbour, bustling town and Welsh Highland Railway." With antique furniture (the dresser with intricate carvings in the sitting room are believed to be a dowry from 1806) & stunning woodwork, all hand built by the owner's father, a master carpenter, you will feel immersed in history. If you are looking for quirky, old and interesting then this is just the house for you!
