Bundella Farm Stay Meeniyan - close to Prom

Nestled among the trees, we have transformed a secluded cottage into the ultimate farm getaway. Newly renovated, the house is located on a working cattle farm in Meeniyan, less than 2 hours from Melbourne. You will have the 3 bedroom cottage to yourself, with spectacular views of surrounding farmland . Only minutes from Meeniyan and the Great Southern Rail Trail and perfectly located to visit Wilsons Promontory, Phillip Island, Inverloch, Bass Coast & other amazing South Gippsland destinations. The space A lovely, peaceful rural escape – our beautiful old cottage is located on our farm, at the end of a 3 km driveway with no neighbours for miles. It is a perfect retreat for a couple, families, or groups of friends. This cottage was originally one of the pavillions at the MCG - steeped in history but now lovingly renovated throughout with everything you need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. It provides quintessential country charm with all the creature comforts; a terrific place to escape and unwind. Pressed metal ceilings, timber floors, cosy couches and even a reading room where you can relax and enjoy a book from our library or kids can find a board game to entertain themselves. The home has 3 bedrooms – 2 queen rooms and one room with a bunk and a single. Luxury bed linen is provided as well as towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is a fully equipped kitchen catering to any foodies - enjoy cooking a meal while gazing out to spectacular views of the country side and Australian bush– not a house in sight. Also included are a Nespresso machine, microwave & sandwich maker. Outside, you can sit back and relax on the veranda and take in the fresh country air and beautiful views. Watch out for our native wildlife – koalas, kangaroos, echidnas and birds to name a few. Sit on the veranda, sipping refreshments while watching the sunset over the paddocks. A Weber BBQ and outdoor games also available. The cottage has reverse cycle heating and cooling and a cosy wood fire heater (firewood provided) for extra warmth in the cooler months. Heaters for each room and electric blankets provided in winter. There is a fully equipped laundry with washing machine and dryer. There are indoor and outdoor games provided for adults and kids alike, a brand new Smart TV and a huge selection of DVD’S available. The cottage has a Bluetooth speaker, free unlimited Wi-Fi and Netflix available. Undercover car parking. Portable cot and high chair available on request. Guest access The house is fully self-contained and you will have the entire house for the duration of your stay. There is an outdoor veranda and a large garden for your exclusive use. The house has a couple of small steps so may not be suitable for wheelchair access. For security and privacy, only guests included in your reservation are permitted access to the property during your stay, unless arranged with us prior to your arrival. The house is not to be used for parties. Please keep in mind this is a working cattle farm, so there is no access to the paddocks or other areas of the farm without prior permission. At times you may see work underway or people moving cattle in the paddocks, but it will be far enough from the house that it should not interfere with your stay. There are also (fenced) dams, rivers, water tanks and electric fences on the property so small children will need to be supervised at all times. Other things to note Linen is supplied at this property for the confirmed number of registered guests. Linen includes bed sheets, pillow cases, bath towels, hand towel, bath mat, tea towels. Beds are prepared with pillows, doonas, blankets etc. Guests to supply own beach towels. Bundella is an old cottage so you may notice a few quirks, like squeaky floors, but it is all part of the charm! Sometimes you may also even hear the sound of the cows gently mooing nearby and native animals in the garden! (But absolutely no traffic sounds!) Please note that the listing photos may appear slightly different due to updating of linen and furnishings from time to time. Minimum of 3 night stay during public holiday long weekends and school holidays, 4 night stay during Easter and Christmas. Please enquire if you would like to book these dates.
