A 100 year-old courtyard residence - previously home to a Gujarathi family with origins in the migration of traders (after Ghazni's conquest) from Gujarat to Kozhikode who set down roots in Kozhikode, encouraged by the progressive Zamorin king - renovated with due respect to its context, retaining the rustic ambience. Design Ashram was started with the aim of setting a cornerstone for a community of like minded individuals to bond,share and brainstorm around a beautiful Peepal tree courtyard The space We have every week open mic wednesday, its an open stage events like music, literature, art basically a community space, we have an inhouse library, art gallery, architecture studio and an amazing peeple tree where we have the stage.
