I work as an interior designer and I designed and furnished this little piece of jewelry with great pleasure in 2020. I was inspired by the location of the house and its history, which I wanted to reflect in a modern way. Záhřebská Street is located in the trendy Vinohrady (vineyards) district in Prague, in whose pastel-colored Art-deco houses many young, well-off professionals from all over the world have settled. The vineyards originally established by King Charles IV in the 14th century were later replaced by rose gardens, fruit trees and houses. This beautiful residential area, which has a reputation for prestige and elegance is cheerful and convivial, but also quiet and hidden. On one hand characterized by greenery, on the other hand known for its international restaurants, hip cafes and night clubs as well as the beer garden in the park Riegrovy Sady. On the well known Náměstí Míru (the Peace Square), busy open-air markets take place in front of the dominant silhouette of the neo-Gothic church of St. Ludmilla. The Wenceslas Square with the National Museum and the Opera and the well-known Na Příkopě shopping street can be easily reached on foot. Otherwise, the subway and tram are only a few steps away. The apartment building with a neo-Renaissance facade built in the second half of the 19th century was inspired by the capital of Croatia during its reconstruction in 2019. It got its name, Terasa Lavande, from the scent of lavender, the queen of all herbs that forms vast fields on the territory of this sun-drenched country. During the reconstruction, great attention was paid to the original representation of colors and architectural details. The sky, trees, plants and birds have also found their way into the studio. I used the hand-painted wallpaper by Mademoiselle Mouns Paper. As in the whole house, high-quality materials such as marble, wood and velvet were used in the studio. Golden accessories give the interior that certain something. The studio is on the third floor with a view of the terraces in the courtyard. It has a king-size bed, TV, WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen including a washing machine, dining table and seating, wardrobe and a high-quality reconstructed bathroom with shower. I would be delighted if the atmosphere of my studio made you get out of your everyday life and made your stay in Prague an unforgettable experience.
