Charming riad in small fishing village
Description
Come and recharge your batteries with family or friends in this typical 500 m² riad nestled in a preserved setting. The property is located in a real fishing village overlooking a huge natural beach popular with surfers. You will benefit from 6 bedrooms, each with shower room and toilet, 1 indoor pool, 1 equipped kitchen, large covered living areas and roof terrace with incredible sea view. The concierge stays on site to ensure its proper functioning. The space The riad is our second home and we love it for its simplicity and tranquility. Home sweet home. It's a place almost out of time and yet it's next to all the major roads. Located in a peaceful fishing village, it is the beldi (authentic) Morocco, everyone is kind and respectful and you have to be in return. Peaceful atmosphere with different worlds where everyone finds their own little corner and no one steps on each other's toes. A peaceful haven where you can meet after a walk in nature, a surf session, a bike ride, a trip to Essaouira or any other activity. It's 500 m², so there's space, not to mention the 500 m² terrace. The Riad is divided into two communicating parts. The first part has 3 large bedrooms and their 3 bathrooms, a living area with small garden, small living room and pool table under the glass roof, the kitchen and the dining room connected to a living room with fireplace (for winter evenings). The second part also has 3 large bedrooms with their own bathrooms around the pool under glass roof and the hammam. Upstairs, it's the large terrace that makes up the entire surface of the house, part of it is covered with a small TV lounge (to watch movies, no antenna), a dining room, and a summer kitchen communicating with the barbecue area. Beware of sunburn! Between the view of the entire bay of Sidi Kaouki, the breakfast that lingers a little, or the nap in the deckchair, there is a way to organize good Biafine evenings! Guest access Tenants have exclusive access to our entire house. Please take care of it. The concierge is there to explain how the house works. He can also explain some walks and tell you where the grocery stores are etc... The village does not have a traditional telephone (with a wire). Everything is based on cell phones. The house is connected to fiber optic and the internet connection is very good. On the other hand, the Riad is large and has thick walls, the WiFi spreads well but not uniformly, and there are some areas with less reception. If you have teenagers addicted to screens glued to their phones all day, you should instead see your stay as an opportunity for digital detox. Ours adapt very quickly, and even forget to recharge their phone after a few days! That's to tell you... Since it's vacation, you won't necessarily want to cook and clean. That's what everyone tells us. Locally, by notifying our concierge a little in advance, he can organize the services of his sister who will cook and clean for 200Dh per day to be paid directly to him. Please note, it's for cooking (Moroccan), not for shopping. You need to provide the ingredients, and it's not complicated. There are two grocery stores for basic products in the village. There are small shops and even a supermarket 10/15 minutes away (Ghazoa). There is in Essaouira (20/25 min) even a hypermarket of a French brand that has a well-stocked "liquids" department and not just orange juice and still water, if that interests you. Food is inexpensive if you eat local dishes. In addition, nothing prevents you from buying fresh fish from the fishermen who return home past the house after raising their nets in the morning. It sounds complicated like that, but once you're there, you'll see, it's as easy as hello. There is also a hammam. As wood is a rare commodity in Morocco and you need horsehair gloves and black soap, everything can be provided to you but you have to contribute 300Dh per hammam. Larbi, our concierge, is the key person for your stay. He wears his heart on his sleeve and will do anything to help you even if it's not normally his job. Please don't take advantage of his kindness, and don't forget to leave him something before you leave after having a nice stay. Other things to note The riad has no target clientele, it is located in a small peaceful village, and it must remain so. As the house is large and it is a great value for money, it can arouse interest for large parties such as spring break, bachelor party, student weekend etc... with plenty of alcoholic drinks, loud music and other illegal local substances. Please go your way, first the house is not made for that, and then, if that's your plan you've got the wrong place completely, there's definitely better elsewhere in Morocco!!! The type of clientele we have is more families and or groups of friends, with or without children who come to enjoy the outdoor and cultural activities of the region while feeling at home without stress. And it always goes well.
