The Perch

As a Land For Wildlife property, if you are not into Australia’s natural environment, don’t bother going any further otherwise, you’ll love our place because of the location, beaches, the birds, wallabies, wombats.... and the house. Our place is ideal for couples wanting to explore what Flinders Island has to offer. A private, quiet and wonderful spot to walk and explore our beach and native garden. Check our website for availability. Note this place is only suitable for adults. The space It is one of the few secluded rental places with a private beach (Blue Rocks) - 10 acres of native bushland to explore. The Perch is also less than 15min from the main town of Whitemark and the other beautiful beaches - Sawyers Bay, Emita Beach, Allport Beach, Lillies Beach & Marshall Bay. Guest access What do we provide? • 2 Bedrooms - 2 King or 4 Single beds with electric blankets, built-in robes, working desk & chair, hydronic heating seat & mirror. • Fully equipped kitchen (induction hot plates, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher) with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, bowls, storage containers and basic pantry items. If you finish something in the pantry please replace it. If you arrive on a Saturday arvo or Sunday or too late in day you will need to determine whether you should bring some food supplies with you until the shops open. • Dining area – table and 8 chairs. • Wood heater & fire wood – also supplies hydronic heating to other rooms & booster to hot water system. • Lounge Area – Lounge suite, 2 reading chairs, coffee table, Digital TV and CD-Blu ray player, Sonos sound system (download the free App), Videos, games, puzzles, novels, local Flinders Island books. • 2 bathrooms (with showers only) - hair-dryer, scales, Oral B electric tooth brush charger, first aid kit. • 2 toilets. • Music, yoga room. • 2 deck areas with a gas BBQ, Esky and relaxing sun chairs. • 2 sea kayaks paddles and life jackets, fishing rod, beach towels, beach shelter, 2 walking poles, umbrella. • Laundry facilities – washing machine with washing line, iron. • All linen (bed, towels, dressing gowns), soaps, hair shampoos & conditioners, sun screen lotion, tissues, toilet paper & washing detergents. Other things to note If arriving late or weekend bring in some supplies, although fresh fruit & vegetables are not allowed to be brought in from the main land.
