This master bedroom and bathroom are located in a private home at the edge of Visalia closest to the Sequoias. With a queen size sleep number bed, private bathroom, tea/water station, & French door that leads to the calm backyard, you will feel right at home. The yards are under development, so each week will bring a fresh improvement to the "garden" aspect of this unique retreat. Parking available on the street in front of the house, please do not park in the driveway. I am currently in the slow process of updating both the house and yards. My vision for my home is to continue developing this space as a restful retreat, particularly through the development of a relaxing yard/garden environment for guests to enjoy. If you want to enjoy the fresh air, you are always welcome to relax in the hammock on the back patio or take a stroll along the nearby shaded path that leads to a lovely park. Inside, your spacious master bedroom is a cozy little hideaway if that's more your cup of tea- & tea options will always be available for you there! I am happy to visit with you and answer any questions you may have, or I am happy to give you your space- it's up to you :) You are welcome to enjoy the living room and dining room, though access to the kitchen is limited to the filtered ice/water feature on the fridge; no fridge, stove, or microwave use without prior approval. The backyard is lovely in the evenings in the summer & throughout the day the rest of the year. I am in and out throughout the week, so I will probably be home when you arrive. I am always available via text if you have any questions. If you'd rather keep to yourself while at the Garden Retreat, please enjoy the solitude! If you'd like to visit and interact, I'm always happy to meet new friends! Check in time is flexible, as long as you communicate your approximate arrival time in advance. Check out is 10am. Communicating your estimated check in time prior to arrival is appreciated. Visalia is a fantastic town full of friendly faces. Take advantage of a local coffee shop, brewery, or Mexican restaurant, and don't forget a trip down the road to Reimers Candies & Gifts in Three Rivers on your way to or from the Sequoia National Park. North just a bit on the weekdays, you can visit the Sun-Maid Market gift shop for all the cutest raisin items you've never known you needed. Also nearby, Heavenly Wheels Blueberry farm seasonally has delicious fresh fruit to pick or purchase. And of course, our local farmers market is open every Saturday morning rain or shine. The nearest market is the R&N, just over a mile away, and there are plenty of other local and chain shops all over town- not to mention the historic downtown district. The Garden Retreat is 100% smoke & pet free. This is due to allergies and other considerations. I have always been very diligent with cleaning & sanitizing the Garden Retreat. I generally block off 24-48 hrs between bookings to clean, sanitize, and air out the room. If you will be in town for work, I have an extra table that I can set up in the room if you'd like a work station. Please let me know in advance so I can prepare the space for you :)
