Large back verandah with pool table. Well equipped with all you need for a a relaxing, entertaining family holiday or secluded honeymoon experience. The space This hexagonal eco cottage was built out of local river stone from the seasonal creek which meanders around the property and recycled materials. Every detail and finish has been carefully selected to reflect the style of antiquity and unique pieces. Coloured glass is featured throughout. Bakelite was used in the victorian era and there are some fun features in this house, including an interactive "enter/wait/engaged" sign to the toilet/ telephone/ radio and light switches. Most furniture pieces are fully restored to their original condition, some with added artistic features. The Rivertribe Cottage is a feast for not only the eyes but the senses as well. Guest access You will have access to the whole house and the property surrounds. You may access the Sundance Studio if you request- please speak to the host.- we may be able to arrange private yoga classes if there are no public classes available. Other things to note Please note a few interesting facts that you may want to consider before booking with us. - We are truly an Eco getaway. - It's rare however you may have the endangered Cassowary come and visit, this can be both exciting and also dangerous. We ask that you never feed them but stay inside and watch in awe! - Our large bath is outdoors and the shower semi indoor/ outdoor in true tropical style. The rest of the bathroom is joined to the house and undercover with a genuine luxury feel. - We have an eco composting toilet. During your stay, you will not need to service it and is maintenance free. - Our single room has a single bed only for one guest only in total not for a couple. - There is NO Air Conditioning unit at the house and NO ceiling fans. We have available portable fans up to 5 in total in the residence. - Reception is limited to Telstra mobile service for phone calls and is terrible at the moment- we suggest getting Whats App for phone calls or Skye/Zoom. - Wifi is limited to only some areas of the house. - There is a super friendly 'green lipped' tree frog who lives in the door of the freezer - hence the water dispenser is out of action :) and you barely ever, almost never see him - but if you're lucky, you just might! - Although this is a single storey house, the property is slightly sloped and so the back verandah has steps leading down to the ground level grass around the fire-pit. (NB: the single bedroom and the double bedroom are situated on the back verandah) - the seasonal creek is now flowing (Jan - ) and can be accessed down the concrete steps. For your information it is located approx. 10m from the back of the house on a steep downhill slope.
