The Art Village Karjat, conceived in the mind of an artist - is a boutique hotel for artistic stays and eco getaways. The project is spread over 7 acres of farmland and has been built with earth as the primary medium. This village can house upto 24 guests only. Other facilities include a recreational centre, a cafe where all local & global dishes are available, a swimming pool with underwater speakers, a pickleball court, horse stables, a meditation space, farming patches and a young forest. The space There are three cottages on the property with two rooms in each cottage, Out of which 4 rooms are listed on this portal. All the cottages are built in earth. Each room has 2 attached baths open to sky. All the rooms are the same. The rooms are fully equipped with a tea and coffee station and natural cow based toiletries. There is a space for keeping the guest bags along with a dressing unit. The principal architects who have created Art village are Kiran Vaghela and Hunnarshalla along with Studio dot. Guest access Guests have access to all areas on the project. There are designated smoking areas and guests are requested not to snack in the rooms, as it attracts insects. There are timings for the pool and for the meals that are served in the Earth cafe. There is a parking lot on the project and some of the staff members are from the local villages so they leave the premises by 6 pm. Sustainable practises like waste management and recycling greay water are practised on the project. Other things to note - Do check out our art gallery and dukaan while you stay with us. - There are some interesting treks close by like Irshal gad fort, Kondhane buddhist caves and Bhimashankar temple if you are an outdoor enthusiast. - We also have an interesting 9 acre golf course 10 minutes away towards the Karjat station. - Karnala bird sanctuary is also a known tourist attraction for bird watchers. - Tooth Mountain Farms and Peacock Life Living are our sister concerns. - Kalote waterfalls are a must to see if you visit during the monsoons. - The closest station is Karjat station. one can get a three wheeler or a shared rickshaw to the project. - Make sure you carry season appropriate clothing and foot wear.
