REDWOODS RETREAT

Redwoods Retreat is set in a quiet neighbourhood, close to all the action in the Redwoods forest for biking or walking. Our warm, comfortable holiday home is setup for relaxing, whether in the spa or with a good book or fun family game. Folding doors open out onto a portico which gets all day sun. The evening meal can be spent around the large extension dining table with a meal made in our fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms offer comfortable beds and bedding for a great nights sleep. The space Set in a quiet neighbourhood on a no thoroughfare road, our holiday home has room and parking for your bikes and boat. There are three indoor living areas, equipped with games, books and tvs and a portico with an outdoor lounge set to relax on. The spa/hot tub is available to fill and turn on if you wish. We empty it between guests for hygiene reasons but if you would like it filled before your stay please let us know. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to cook all of your meals. There are supermarkets within 5 minutes drive for your groceries or I’d recommend a visit to Vetro for your Mediterranean food items. There is a large extension dining table if you have a large group to feed and a breakfast bar. We have chosen quality beds and bedding so you should get a good night’s sleep. The bunk bed room has two bunks. Please note that the top bunk beds are only suitable for children. Our home has a ducted ceiling heat pump and an extra heat pump in the hallway which keep it nice and cosy and a gas fire in the lounge if needed. The laundry comes with a washer and dryer as well as drying racks for indoor use and an outdoor clothes line at the back of the property. We have a port-a-cot (bedding not included) and a high chair available. Please request these when booking. Guest access The whole house apart from some locked cupboards. Other things to note The bunk room is a great space for kids, however if booking for adults, they can only sleep on the lower beds. It is not recommended that adults sleep on top bunks please. If you would like to use the spa/hot tub during your stay, fill it upon arrival and then turn it on. It will take about 15 hours to heat up. There are towels in the unlocked hall cupboard for spa use. Please let us know if you’d like the spa/hot tub filled before check-in. There are cockroaches in Rotorua and our holiday home does get them from time to time. You can remove them to outside or deal with them how you see fit. You are welcome to use some of the lemons and limes on the bushes out by the clothes line if they are fruiting during your stay, but please don’t take them all so there are some for the next guests.
