Located just outside of Downpatrick, less than 30 mins drive from Belfast, Newcastle, Strangford, Ardglass & many, beautiful attractions. We welcome many guests on holiday and those attending weddings in the nearby Ballyduggan Mill & Finnebrogue Woods to name but a few. The space Cosy, modern cottage on the outskirts of Downpatrick. Plenty of private garden space looking onto Downpatrick Race Course in the distance with ample, secure private parking. Downpatrick is known for being the home of Saint Patrick. Buried here at Down Cathedral in the 12th Century, nearby there is now a Saint Patrick’s Centre, exhibiting events, shows, competitions and hosting walking tours (www.saintpatrickcentre.com). Downpatrick town centre also boasts Down Arts Centre, County Down Museum, a leisure centre with gym, football and swimming facilities, cinema, multiple restaurants and bars. There’s also numerous nearby play parks. Game of Thrones fans will enjoy local attractions closeby including Inch Abbey, River Quoile and Castleward where multiple scenes were filmed throughout the series. We are spoilt for choice in golf courses including Downpatrick, Ardglass, Bright and Royal County Down all within less than 30 minutes drive. The picturesque town of Newcastle is just 30 minutes away overlooked by the Mourne Mountains. Enjoy the coastal drives and visit the beautiful beaches including Tyrella beach (awarded Blue flag), Rossglass, Murlough, Ballyhornan and Ballykinlar. There are also beautiful family walks and play parks at Delamont, Castlewellan Forest Park and Tollymore Forest Park to name but a few. 45 minutes from Belfast and Newry you'll be spoilt with plenty to do.
