We would like to welcome you to our beautiful island, Santorini to experience the hospitality and the friendliness of the local people and our old traditions which are known only on our island. The space Our family owns 2 old houses in the old traditional area of Fira, which is the capital of Santorini. We have recently renovated them, and we did our best to ensure that they would keep their character and unique style: High ceiling roofs, thick stone-made walls, to keep the rooms cool during the summer and warm during the winter. As they didn’t have access to wood as a building material, the old habitats of Santorini used to “carve” their houses and their furniture into stone hills or caves. It’s a perfect place for couples, families, elder people and everyone else who will appreciate one of the most beautiful and quiet areas of the island, while being just a breath away from the main square and the magnificent caldera view. Fira is a town built around the island’s famous caldera, 200m. above the sea, which offers a panoramic view of the whole island, the volcano and the surroundings islands. Fira is located in the center of the island, from here you can easily have access to all the other villages. Here, you will find all local facilities: restaurants, cafes and nightclubs, museums, banks, pharmacies and the cable car, which leads to the old port. It consists of 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other one with one single bed. The second room can host one more person. The kitchen, big and comfortable with a dining area is fully equipped and has all modern facilities. The bathroom is made according to the local traditional style and painted in a yellow ochre. Guest access The house has its own private terrace with table and chairs, decorated with flowers and plants. Other things to note We would like to inform you that the Calderimi Traditional Houses are certified houses in compliance with the Government guidelines.
