Located in Ardèche Verte, our 'La Chastanha' cottage is rated 4* and labeled Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park. Isolated and quiet, within the 'Domaine de Fontreal' (old fortified house on 19 ha), at an altitude of 800 m. Located on the edge of a hiking trail, it is ideal for lovers of old stones, calm and walks. 16x6 pool shared from June to early September. Bed made for your arrival. Towels and linens are provided. Parking, bike/motorcycle storage. The space The cottage is on the upper level of the old sheepfold, accessible on the ground floor by its private terrace. It is completely renovated. Rated 4 stars, with an area of 48 m2 and a capacity of 2 people, it has a bedroom with a 180 bed (king size), a new fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Separate toilet. The bed is made upon arrival, towels and linens are provided. The 16x6 pool is shared with our guests (12 people maximum in total), the pool deck is 90 m2. The site is 800 m above sea level, so it is protected from the heat wave. We don't have mosquitoes. Guest access The Domaine de Fontréal (place known as 'Fontréal') is a former agricultural hamlet, located 800 meters from the village of Saint Jean Chambre and 6 km from Chalencon (village of character). Parking is free and on-site. Other things to note On request, possibility of homemade breakfast (€9/person), served in the main house (access to the terrace weather permitting). On request at the time of booking or at least 48 hours in advance. Served from 8:30am to 10:30am in the main house or on the terrace. Homemade bread, pastries or brioche, homemade pastry, Fontréal pear juice, fresh fruit salad or compote, homemade yogurt, homemade jams, Ardèche honey. Laopa filter coffee, Pure Arabica coffee roasted in Ardèche, Selection of black teas and green teas from organic farming (Terra Etica, Scop Ti, English Tea Shop, Destination brands). On request for an extra charge (€27/person) possibility of table d'hôtes (from 7:30 p.m.): starter, main course, dessert. Everything is homemade and prepared from fresh and seasonal products.
