There is one bedroom with a queen bed. The living room has a sofa that turns into a queen bed. A queen air mattress is also available. There is a large closet and dresser if you have belongings that you need to store. Children of all ages are welcome. While it isn't baby-proofed, we do provide a pack-n-play for infants. The kitchen provides you access to a full-size refrigerator, microwave, a Keurig coffee maker, stove, oven, and dishwasher. We provide an assortment of K-Cups, bottled water and granola bars. There are dishes in the top cabinets and paper napkins in the wall cabinet next to the sink. If you need to use the dishwasher, detergent is available under the sink. So, cook your heart out. You have a full bathroom. You will be provided with shampoo, conditioner and special hand-made organic soaps. A clean set of towels will be in your room when you arrive. Additional supplies and the air mattress are in the closet next to the bathroom. You will have access to the laundry machines, which are in the closet located on the left hand side when you first walk into the apartment. Laundry detergent is provided. Feel free to take the deck chairs (stored in the closet next to bedroom) out and enjoy the nice weather. Trash disposal: Please put your trash into the kitchen garbage bags and put it into one of the large trash bins at the end of the driveway. Thanks! Hosts can be available if requested ahead of time. Otherwise, we like to give our guests their privacy. The apartment is right in the center of the walkable Town of Occoquan. All the restaurants and shops are within a short walking distance. We believe your will find some very unique offerings in Occoquan from beautifully reclaimed home decor (Reclaimed Treasures), delicious chocolate fudge (Naz Bros), a store dedicated to puzzles and games (Puzzle Palooza), award-winning Bistro L'hermitage, The Secret Garden and many other great eateries, wine, art, and coffee shops. The River Mill Park is a great place to take a leisurely walk/jog and nearby Occoquan Regional Park and Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge are very well-known spots for birdwatching, kayaking, and other outdoor fun and of course, catching Pokemons! The Town of Occoquan is cute and very safe. Driving: We are 5 minute drive away from I-95. From there it is a 30 minute drive to D.C., a 20 minute drive to Quantico Marine Corps Base, and a 20 minute drive to Fort Belvoir. Rail (Monday-Friday only): We are also located a 10 minute drive from the Virginia Railway Express Woodbridge Station on the VRE’s Fredericksburg line. Save the hassle of driving and finding parking in DC. From the Woodbridge Station it is an easy: 27min to Old Town Alexandria along King Street near shops, restaurants, and art galleries 44min to L’Enfant Plaza Washington, DC near the Washington Monument & Smithsonian Museums 52min to Union Station Washington, DC near the US Capitol, Supreme Court & Library of Congress Note that this is a commuter train that runs Monday to Friday only - no weekend service. The last train into DC runs at 8:25am. The last train back from DC to the Woodbridge Station runs at 6:40pm from Union Station and 6:48pm from L’Enfant Plaza. Check the VRE schedule when planning weekday trips. To ensure our cleaner is able to adhere to our strict cleaning protocol we are unable to accommodate early check in. If you book and request a check in earlier than 4 pm we cannot accommodate. Check out is also firm at 11 am. The Town of Occoquan is host to several fun events year round. Be sure to check it out. Being a small town with historic structures and a river nearby the Town of Occoquan is an excellent place to play Pokemon Go! A lot of our guests are repeat visitors and expect a certain level of peacefulness. Therefore we strongly adhere to Airbnbs “No Party” rule. We have a strict NO pets rule because one of the owners has life threatening allergies. Should you book and bring a pet or indicate you have a pet we will have to have Airbnb cancel your reservation. We provide a few granola bars as a quick breakfast but we are sure you will find delicious food options in Town. Before you leave, please gather your trash and put it in one of the trash bins at the end of the driveway. Thank you!
