This quirky 19th century Yorkshire town house has its original feature wooden beams and attractive Yorkshire stone fireplaces, making the unique layout both functional and funky. The views over Nutclough Mill and beyond welcome the eye as you draw the blinds each new day. Its location means that a short 4 min walk takes you to the center of Hebden Bridge where you'll benefit from all that this bustling Yorkshire town offers. The woodland walks found at each end of the road link on to a network of stunning foot paths. The space The upstairs has a century (plus) old, unique, stone and iron platform fire place that has been lost from many of these similar homes. The solid wood antique bed boasts its view past the, quintessentially Hebden, tower of Nutclough Mill and across the wooded valley where in Hebden sits. The space is tastefully enriched with plants and antique wooden furniture. Beautifully curious framed art takes your eye downstairs to the large and light open living room. This too features much original charm. Its sturdy wood beams and partially exposed Yorkshire stone walls perfectly compliment the large fireplace which now has a gas stove. relax after a day exploring in the comfy leather chesterfield that opens out into the second double bed. The kitchen is at the back of the house, 'underground' yet with a window. The home above has its front door to the street up the hill to the back, typical for Hebden’s famous four-storey “top-and-bottom” houses. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property. Other things to note Free parking can be found within the locality just a bit further along the road. Hebden Bridge railway station is 0.3 miles away, a 7 min walk. Trades Club 10 mins walk. Cash point, cafes, shops, market and restaurants 4 min walk. For fresh air, scenery and nature there's the incredibly beautiful walk up past, the National Trust's, Gibson's Mill to Hardcastle Craggs. This can be started at the end of the road! Return through Heptonstall (look it up, gorgeous) to, yes, the end of the road for a great circular day out and about. Take the footpath from the upper end of the road and your in a fantastic wooded valley with water falls and birdsong to give a perfection in ambiance. Keep walking past the old mill pools etc that hint at the industrial past and you'll reach a decent pub meal at The Hare and Hounds which has a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. All from the front door :)
