Welcome to Calon y Bannau, situated in the small village of Pencelli (pronounced Pen-keth-li) in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This self-contained studio apartment, located on the beautiful Mon and Brec Canal, is an ideal base for exploring our stunning Welsh countryside. Providing direct access to the central Beacons and the Black Mountains. Whether you are after a relaxing break away, or an action packed outdoor adventure, Calon y Bannau is the perfect place for your stay. The space The property is accessed by outdoor steps leading up from a small garden / patio area. The light and airy studio room sleep either two or three people, with a king size bed that can be made up as two single beds (upon request during booking), and a single chair bed. A newly fitted kitchenette area is equipped with standard microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, and toastie maker. Please note there is no cooker or hob due to fire regulations. The room contains a wall mounted smart TV with access to BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and Netflix. A dining table allows seating for three people, and a coat rack and boot storage provide an area to store waterproofs and walking boots. A small step up at the back of the room gives access to a short corridor leading to the studio's private bathroom, containing shower, toilet and hand basin. There is also, upon prior request, space within a locked garage for bike/ canoe/ paddle board storage. In addition a small coal BBQ can be requested for use in the outside area. Coals, firefighters, matches and utensils will be provided. Guest access Dedicated parking space is provided on the host's drive. Pencelli is on a regular bus route between Abergavenny and Brecon. Other things to note Please be aware that the property is next to the pub car park. There could be regular movement of vehicles nearby but rarely does this create any noise.
