Description
Welcome! My place is near Giyaghi, a small village on the way to Jalori Pass. Built with stone and wood with views of the forest all around and a veranda for relaxing. You will love my place, for its natural ambience, the outdoor space, a bonfire pit, home cooked food and a comfortable bed. It is good for couples, families and solo adventurers. Just a note on food. We serve all food and drinks and you won't be disappointed with the freshness, local content, cleanliness, presentation and of course taste. We need notice for preparation because our food is prepared fresh. , specially if you require non-veg (local river fish, chicken or mutton). Food is costed per item separate to accommodation. You should budget at least around 800 rps per day per person for food and drinks. Consider trying the local traditional 'siddhu'...a kind of large dumpling filled with sabje made often with crushed walnuts, or ganga seeds, or apricot kernels etc. 'Wayward Inn' is listed on google maps so if you are self-driving/driven, you can easily plan your trip through that on-line application. If you are coming by bus from Delhi, the get-off point is Aut. From there I can arrange a taxi to Wayward Inn (cost around 1400 rps) or you can proceed by local bus to Banjar and then change for the last 11 km to Wayward (1 km further than the village of Giyaghi). If you are coming from Kullu/Manali direction, a bus from Bhuntar will go to Banjar. The space Peaceful and quiet. A real homely experience in nature’s lap. Accommodation Details Wayward Inn consists of a two storey building, with 3 double sharing rooms and 1 family room with 2 double beds. All rooms have attached bathrooms, with solar water heating system. There is space to pitch tents on demand. Guest access Many places to visit around. Numerous treks and day hikes through forests and waterfalls and alongside rivers. Jalori Pass is just 9 km up the road with magnificent views of snow capped peaks. From there you can trek to Serolsar Lake and Raghupur fort. You can go down to the river side, only 200 metres walk from Wayward. A perfect spot for nature lovers. You can also visit Chouni Kothi, which is a 13 storey fort built exclusively with wood and stone. Other things to note House Rules I welcome warm hearted people who respect nature. I would like you to respect the space and take care of it as if it were your own.
