A 4-seater electric buggy is included for use by a licensed driver and a buggy use policy needs to be signed on arrival. Basil Bay is a 2 minute trip via buggy or ~7 minutes walk Guest access The whole house is yours during your stay. Keswick Island offers many natural features for you to enjoy. Beautiful quiet beaches where you can dive, snorkel or fish with your own equipment, great walking trails to secluded beaches and lookouts providing spectacular views. For those less energetic, an electric golf buggy is available for use by licensed drivers (subject to your acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in the Buggy Use Policy). The main swimming beach at Basil Bay has a lovely beach hut with gas barbeque perfect for beachside lunches Other things to note Getting Here Access to Keswick Island is from Mackay using Island Air. Contact Keswick Developments for flight and booking information. Private boat owners can depart from Mackay Marina. However, there are only limited fixed moorings at Keswick Island. Because we experience strong winds, strong currents and big tides, we strongly urge boat owners to ensure they have adequate anchorage with them. What to Bring Guests are encouraged to bring all provisions (including alcohol, sunscreen and insect repellant) that they will require for their stay. We recommend shopping in person. For those coming by plane, freight needs to be packed into the plane before your departure from the mainland. Please allow ample time for shopping and packing before your transfers to the island. Make sure to place your online order at least 5 days before the order is required. Fishing enthusiasts need to bring their own fishing gear and snorkelling equipment. There are plenty of beach and rock fishing locations. But there is no boat or kayak hire available on Keswick Island.
