It is located in the hill, 2,5 km from the beach, 357 m above sea level. The house is typical old Dalmatian house made of stone in 1892 year. Recently renovated completely. There is a kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom. Separately, a sleeping room is equipped with double bed. Bed linen and towels are included! The kitchen is practical and fully equipped with all amenities (fridge, freezer, stove, oven, coffee maker, electric grill and washing machine). In the dining room and living room there is LCD TV with satellite channels. In front of a house, there is open terraces with tables and chairs, and the larger one too. For your convenience, free wireless internet is available throughout the apartment. Other things to note LOKVA ROGOZNICA is more then 700 years old village situated 350 m above sea level up on the slopes of Dinara mountain. Seven Hungarian noble families received a grant in land from Croatian-Hungarian king Bela the 4th in 12th century. Now, it is famous touristic destination because of fabolous pebble beaches and untouched nature. A bit of history you can experience visiting our village, and of course our house. For real nature lovers and those who prefer relaxing in a sort of isolation, far from noise and hurry of everyday life, our oasis of peace is the right choice. Especially interesting is the Church of St. Vid situated at the very peak of the mountain 638 m above the sea level. Maintained walking trail is ideal for an afternoon or early morning walking tour. In the center of the village is the Church of Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary from 18th century recently renovated. Nearby the beach Ivašnjak is the Art Gallery GANDALJ. The home belonged to the famous Croatian artist Joko Knežević: painter, sculptor , poet and particularly artist of mosaics. His successors worthy keep the memory of him. It is worth to see his creative opus and his unbreakable connection with nature, sea and villagers. On the opposite side of the Dinara mountain are situated POLJICA rural area. In 13th century that territory was organized as Republic of Poljica a unique phenomenon in Europe due to its progressive administrative form and social structure. It was governed by people who elected the great Prince of Poljica every year. After 600 years it was abolished by Napoleon's conquerors. There is a legend about young, brave girl from Poljica named Mila Gojsalic. In 15th century she stopped Ottoman invaders, seduced their leader Ahmed Pasha, set stockpile of ammunition on fire and finally jumped into the river. In memoriam of her heroic act, a statue of her stands at the place from which Mila jumped to her death.
